在大西北难得见到这么大一片水域，一边是大湖湾，一边是中国第二大内陆河——黑河。登上崇文楼，极目远眺，四周空旷辽阔，芦苇丛生。可以在大湖湾上泛舟，湖水清澈，可见水草。自然景观不错，但景点开发程度较低，游人较少，不失为休闲的好去处。
