I've passed by Victoria Butterfly Gardens every time I go to Butchart Gardens. So glad we finally stopped and explored the gardens. We spent 2 hours in there. We had a blast watching the birds, butterflies, and the turtles. Lots of things to see, plants, fish even a couple of ducks but they were sleeping.

They also had turtles, exotic birds and two flamingos though, which was a nice surprise. We actually enjoyed the insect displays before you enter the most. Watching the ants was interesting,... We had we're traveling with our 5 year old and happened upon the gardens. It is a great spot for kids to walk around and learn about nature. The displays are informative. My only criticism is that it was a bit pricey.

Having grown up in Victoria but now living in Europe, we decided to take our 2.5 year old to see the butterflies and we were pleasantly surprised. It is amazing to look around and see them all as well as having them land on you. Was also nice for our daughter to see the turtles and flamingoes that were part... More

Great facility to get an up close encounter with butterflies and a variety of other living creatures. We enjoyed the recently added insect exhibit.

Good place to warm up from the rain. Seems small but each time you walk around the display you will see a new butterfly!

Good if you need to kill some time or you feel like doing something that doesn't require a lot of thought! I can see it as being cool for kiddos and those who can reach for the positive aspects it has to offer.
