A wonderful experience to go along with a visit to The Butchart Gardens (only 2km away), The temperature is kept pretty warm, and the humidity is also high, as these are better conditions for the butterflies and other critters that they have there - flamingos, Tortoises, Turtles, Iguanas, Koi, frogs and assorted other birds. A wonderful place for the kids... More

A butterfly wonderland. Lots of brightly-colored butterflies of many species circle around you (or landing on you, if you stay very still). Tame parrots, a few flamingos, large goldfish, tropical plants, all make this indoor zoo seem larger than it is. Well worth the hour we spent there.

We combined a visit here with the Butchart Gardens. It was a nice addition to the day, but not as good as we had hoped. There weren't as many butterflies as anticipated. The area was a bit smaller than we have seen in other similar places.

Watching the butterflies fly was fascinating. Waiting for them to lite on a flower requires some patience. Enjoyed photographing the flowers and other wildlife and lying on a bench watching the butterflies floating by. Kids seemed to love this exhibit. When it is sunny, the butterflies are more active, just like humans.

It was ok. Like all butterfly gardens. I would skip it and spend more time at Butchard garden. If you do go, plan about 45 minutes.

We went here as part of a tour to butchart gardens. I was pleasantly surprised. The area is small but packed with butterflies. We took so many pictures here. They had feeding stations so you could get close to the butterflies. There were cocoons and larvae. The workers were helpful and knowledgeable. There was a large iguana and some parrots.... More

Dropped by after coming from the Buchart Garden and I was kinda excited to visit a butterfly garden as it will be a first time. We paid $34+ for the entrance which I did not mind at first. When we went inside, I was excited because it felt you we're in a rain forest. You will see tropical plants but... More
