We are so glad we booked the 3 hour Kiixin tour with Stella. She is such a knowlegeable, fascinating, and welcoming We were a group ranging in age from 19 to 50 and all of us were in awe of the natural beauty of the area and history of the First Nations people. It was especially impactful to hear it from Stella, whose family for 13 generations has been part of the Kiixin history. Her knowledge and personal storytelling helped us all imagine back to 8,000 years ago... and to understand today's challenges for the First Nations communities too. A truly memorable and valuable day to deepen our understanding and awe of the Bamfield area. Highly recommended.

Listed as a moderate hike (think West Coast Trail easy to moderate), they do not recommend it you have knee, hip, back problems as quite a bit of the trail involves climbing up/down over roots etc. I agree as a couple of friends did struggle in sections. But if you are able, do take this tour!

This was very educational and Stella knows her history and it was a pleasure listening to her. There were several adults in our group, 3 seniors (mid to late 70's), 2 teenagers and 2 children (8 and 10 yrs old) and we all loved it. It's a beautiful hike in the woods and at the end of it, is a beautiful sandy beach where words can't describe how beautiful it is. I highly recommend taking this tour and its well worth it!

This tour was awesome! The kids loved it and it was amazing to watch them re-tell the stories they heard to other who didn't go. Wish-Key shared a ton of history, we all learned a lot! Highly recommend.
