Don't let the reviews scare you out of doing this hike. It is fine for the average person. The views are well worth it. It is a must do in Waterton. You hike, climb a small ladder, duck through a tunnel, and arrive at a...More

8.5 kms with 700m of elevation gain featuring a ladder, 60 ft tunnel and then a cable to hold for support As you inch up the last exposed bit with 600ft of air beneath you!! In 2014, National Geographic listed this on "The world's 20...More

For the most part, this beautiful and unique hike is easily accomplished by healthy people of any age. What makes it moderate in my books is the tunnel and cliff traverse near the top of the climb which is frightening for children and the timid....More

This hike has it all: boats, a ladder, a natural tunnel, and a cable for traversing a cliff face. It was good fun, very exhilarating and should not be missed!!!

You need the earliest boat because this is a all day event, Take lots of water and a lunch plus some energy bars, The tunnel is not for the fear of heights. Go at least to the water falls . It gets real hot by...More

The boat ride to the Crypt Landing takes 12 minutes. Though there are 2-3 departures in the morning I think it is always best to leave early (830AM) for any longish hike, especially this one , which is over 10 miles long in and out,...More

Beautiful hike in one of the most beautiful national parks. Get there early to get the boat (which is reasonably priced), especially if it's a nice weekend day as it can get quite busy. The boat ride over is quick, and you get a nice...More

The hike was very enjoyable but I certainly wouldn't rate it over Carthews-Alderson. The latter is more spectacular as well as more challenging. In fact, the many mentions here about "the risk factor ' discouraged my partner from doing it, which was a big mistake....More

This hike starts with a boat ride across the lake, then a 5.4 mile hike with 2,585 feet of elevation gain. The lower section is not so steep switchbacks in heavy vegetation, but the upper switchbacks are in the open and much steeper. You will...More

The trail is pretty fun and well kept! Our trail-book showed a pretty steep elevation toward the end, but it didn't feel that way because the switchbacks slope gently and are well laid-out for great views. Half the hike is in trees, much appreciated in...More

I'd wait. it's a tough hike for a younger and even tougher for you being 6 months pregnant The earliest boat collection is 1600. so you'd be there from 1000 - 1600.
