The park area is only a few years old and on the whole is well laid out and nicely planted with mainly local trees.
Lots of walks and cycle paths but watch out in the early evening for hordes of locals on exercise runs etc.
A few toilets are scattered thinly about but no paper or taps to wash hands etc. afterwards.
Very few places to grab a bite and certainly no coffee seen anywhere in the park.
My biggest problem is with the maps posted throughout the park, they are all the wrong way round, and thinking this may be a cultural thing I asked several Chinese citizens what they thought and after showing them what I meant, 100% they agreed!
New cafe opened this year (called Victoria cafe) on town side of river,is also the place to hire Jet-Ski's, canoes, and take boat trips, best thing there by a long, long way.
