We called en route to the Peak District and were pleasantly surprised having been there many years previously. Very interesting house and history. We did not go into the toy museum as we ran out of time but seemed popular. Very nice courtyard and cafe.

Our grandkids loved this place - up the chimney like the water babes - interactive items and story telling and toys from the ages. We enjoyed the reminiscence.

We went on a day when it was out of school holidays and a damp dull day so the outside areas were not in use as much. Unsure about the dog situation as don't have a dog to worry about. Sorry couldn't be more presisce
