About
Edward and Vintage is set in the heart of the Peak District. Housed in the former post office in the village of Tissington. Edward and Vintage is situated at the start of two wonderful foot paths taking you across fields to the Tissington trail. A great venue to get your supplies for the walk or to sit and enjoy a handmade ice-cream in the gardens of the cottage after a day exploring.

Second time visiting, made sure we came again because of the variety of sweets on offer! The shop isn’t wheelchair friendly and small inside, which was expected and wasn’t a problem as the shop keeper was kind enough to bring out a selection of sweets / tell us what we might like. He did this a number of times and this was appreciated.

There is a huge range of sweets, chocolate and ice cream. As well as a few benches to sit outside.

If anything could be improved - a board outside with an idea of what was sold would be helpful.

Highly recommended. We will come again for sure.

What a lovely old fashioned sweet shop - it feels like stepping back in time. When holidaying in The Peak District Tissington is a must visit for us and now we have have found this sweet shop it makes it even better. Had a long chat with the owner who’s is passionate about the shop and selection of sweets he stocks. Handmade fudge is superb and the variety of flavours makes decision making difficult - so we bought 5 different flavours! Young or old this shop will stock something for anyone with a sweet tooth.

Hidden treasure! Lovely shop with a warm welcome from the owner. We all reminisced about the sweets in the shop, it took us back to our childhood. The ice cream is the best I’ve tasted and it is all made locally. Do not leave the village without visiting!

We have been visiting Edward and vintage for years. Last time we had an unusually bad experience (with a rude member of relief staff) but decided to give them the benefit and return once again. We were not disappointed and was back to the usual friendly and welcoming experience we had always had previously. The homemade fudge was absolutely delicious (especially the peanut butter and chocolate 😋) and my boys loved the array of traditional sweets on offer and unlike our last visit, were able to mix up bags in smaller quantities of each. You cannot visit the Peak District without visiting here!

Came off the Tissington bike trail and found this absolute gem. The best sweet shop in the land bar none! So welcoming and stocked to the (very low) rafters with all sorts of favourites, new and old.

Made us feel like kids in a sweet shop… literally!

What a beautiful shop. We could not have been made to feel more welcome. There’s a fantastic range of old fashioned sweets which were a real blast from the past! The ice cream is a must- even on a chilly October day. Don’t visit Tissington and not pop in- it’s a treat.

Arrived at gates to the village with banners telling us Tissington Village open for business. We visited on Wednesday 18th September, had coffee which was very good, nice clean loos. There were signs advertising the shop, so we walked up the village only to find it closed!
