The Rhino and Lion Park is fun for the entire family. There is so much to see from the animals to feeding of the animals and the snake cages. Braai facilities are available and it is only R220.00 per person to do the self drive game drive. It's clean and well kept, you will definitely see a good number of animals.

Great accommodation. Clean, spacious two bedrooms both with en-suite, large kitchen, outdoor patio and living area.

Despite no electricity points, solar panels provided sufficient lighting for the chalet for the entire evening.

Free firewood. Grounds are well kept with high fences though it didn’t keep out the occasional warthog or Impala that fled when they saw humans. Lovely pool, play gym for the kids and enclosed lapa area.

Would definitely recommend staying here. Very peaceful and relaxing.

We had such a superb time in the reserve. The animal sightings where great and I'm not talking about the caged and enclosed ones. No just to watch the free roaming game was a very good experience on its own.
The elcome center is huge and there is lots to do close by. The 4x4 tracks are in a good condition and I enjoyed driving them.

This review is really a 3.5…
Know ahead of time that this is not an authentic game experience. The animals are divided into sectioned off, not-really-wild areas and fed on schedules by the people who work there. Having said that, you are guaranteed to see things like lions, cheetahs, and African wild dogs in nature (not natural) settings that you have a small chance of seeing on a game drive. Seeing these animals, who are well fed and seemingly satisfied, is the good part and makes the trip worthwhile.

There are many reasons you may want to skip the visit. For one, they have very large, non-native tigers locked into pens much too small for their natural instinct. You can see the tigers have been pacing so much that they have worn paths into the ground. Also, on busy days, it could be somewhat difficult to maneuver with so many cars competing to see the animals.

Ultimately, make your decision knowing ahead of time what you’re paying for. It’s not a game drive in a natural setting. This is more like a zoo that would be fun for a family.

Good day out for the whole family. The main attraction of the reserve is the game drive, lion/wild dog/cheetah feeding and the wonder caves. The reserve also has a play area, picnic and braai facilities, small swimming pool (not very clean), walk through section with caged animals such as white tigers, leopards, jaguars, reptiles, birds,... The snake show and Cheetah Talk were also informative short lessons to attend if you're in that area. You can also feed the giraffe and the kids can enjoy a ride on bike course.
Check the website for feeding/ show/activity times and plan your day before you get there in order to make the most of the trip. I would advise going on a cooler day, the animals don't tend to come out in the heat and it gets uncomfortable driving around in the car and walking around.
Be sure to get to the predator camp early to get a good viewing space and follow the rangers van to the next feeding spot so you don't miss out.
There are some restaurants on the resort (not halaal) and chalets you can book in.
The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the rangers are always glad to answer any questions about the animals.

Never been on safari before (infact my first time to SA) and found myself with a few hours spare on a business trip and a colleague recommended to try this….I was not disappointed at all it was a brilliant half day spent out in the ‘Bush’. Easy to book, and easy to get an Uber from downtown (about an hours drive). Our guide, Anais, was really great and made a good trip great-and we got to see Lions, Rhinos, Painted Dogs, Zebras, Giraffes and a whole bunch of other stuff. Highly recommended.

Feeding of the wild dogs, cheetah and lion was offered at a specific time. Large park were you can see rhino, lions, cheetah and wild dogs to name a few. Although in a small reserve the animals are all in an excellent condition.
You can do a self drive or book a game drive.

WOW!! We have traveled many places in the world and have never, if ever, had this kind of incredible experience! The value for the money was UNMATCHED!! The service from Angie at guest relations, Paulo, Alex and our amazing, incredible, knowledgeable Game Drive guide Reason who went WAY above an beyond to make our experience everything it could be. We stayed in the log cabins on the property snd ate delicious well priced food at the restaurants, fed the giraffe Sky and saw every animal species possible. Thank you so much for making our time in South Africa more than perfect and memorable!

Spent a weekend in the log cabins. Was a little disappointed - the cabins themselves are extremely dated and the bed is the worst I’ve slept on in years. We also had the sense that the wildlife aren’t REALLY dangerous as very little exists by way of security (the ladies at the lion enclosure gate, for example, didn’t look in the least concerned while the gates were open. Felt a bit like a zoo)

For the cost of staying over, there are better options. For a day trip, it’s a good option.

We hired two of the log cabins for two nights. So close to the Lion enclosure you can hear them roaring at night. Going on a game drive you are sure to see plenty of Rhino, as well as many other species.
The 7 of us that went all thouroughly enjoyed the break.
