We stayed over in one of the Log Cabins and absolutely loved it!! This might not be a 5 star game lodge for the rich and famous, but if you do enjoy the outdoors and African bush, and you're looking for a quick break from...More

Lots of animals (mainly gazelle, etc). No shortage of lions. Didn't see any rhino though. The hippos were babies... 2 in a murky looking pool near the cafe, and another baby in a smallish enclosure.

Absolutely wonderful. Many activities and such a beautiful view. Animals roam in abundance. A worthwhile visit. Accommodation is wonderful and spacious. With amazing chocolate milkshakes.

Animals seem well taken care of. Unfortunately no Rhinos were seen, but I think poachers probably had a part to play with this. We loved the 4x4 trails, where you can really test your vehicle out. There are nicely graded trails if you don't have...More

A foreign friend has a quick stop in Joburg so I thought I'd take him here to enjoy some of our wildlife close by. Firstly, this place is a rip-off for tourists and not worth the money. There is so much potential to make this...More

A must see for all visiting and residing in Gauteng. This is a whole day outing, and we got to see most of the big 5 except for the Rhino. Self drive through the nature reserve for all types of cars. Pro-Tip: make sure you...More

Let me first state that it's difficult to find out if this park is in the interest of the animals. If not, then it should be closed. If so and the animals are provided a good and happy life then this park can offer some...More

My 5 year old son and I went to this reserve in the middle of the week so there were very few people around. The self-driving on dirt roads was good. We saw a leopard shell tortoise as well as many antelope, ostrich, warthogs and...More

I've been to the Lion & Rhino park several times over the last 10 years. My most recent visit was 15-Dec and I wish we'd gone somewhere else. Apart from the entry being almost 3 times the price for tourists - this is not the...More

There was only a baby leopard when we were there. My grandson was able to go in an enclosure with the baby leopard and it was wonderful, the leopard very playful and an amazing experience for my grandson.

Yes, it was R40 per child per enclosure when we were there but the look on my grandson's face when a baby leopard climbed on his shoulder and was purring in his ear was priceless, there was also 3 baby white lions to pet... More

You don't need a guided game drive, as you just follow the circuit. They feed the lions from about 12 pm as well as the cheetahs and wild dogs. I don't know if there is a guided tour.
