Under Les Halles
May 2019 • Couples
A beer in Les Halles. Les Halles is an ancient medieval covered market constructed entirely of timber - one of the largest of any I have witnessed. There are several tables and chairs under belonging to an adjacent bar.

Stunning ancient barn-style open market place
Jul 2018 • Friends
This building is so atmospheric. The stories those ancient wooden beams could tell. A sweet little market was in progress the second time we visited. Fresh fruit and vegetables, an artisan salami maker with the widest range of flavours Ive ever seen.
Adjacent cafes use the space for outdoor dining too.

Very nice town, atmospheric, unfortunately we were late for the tour of the castle but it is impressive from the outside. The old hall is huge and has fabulous markets on Fridays I believe, mostly fresh local produce

Beautiful mediaeval structure
May 2018 • Couples
We visited Clisson recently on an excursion from a cruise on the River Loire. This mediaeval structure is very impressive and well worth a look. I wish that our visit had been on market day to experience it with all its hustle and bustle.

Visit During Friday Market
Oct 2017 • Couples
Ancient building, OK so a few minutes is enough.

However, this covered space comes to life on Friday when the farmers market occupies this space and is an absolute mouth-watering delight! See the great meats, the superb fresh fish and seafood, the vegetables, fruit and all other kinds of lovely craft foods.

Simply superb! I want one of these markets in my home town, fat chance!

Great bar staff
Jun 2017 • Couples
Visited during Hell fest and enjoyed the local events put in in the market hall.
Big mention to the lady with the glasses from bar tabac who worked like a trojan to keep up with the thirsty visitors. Despite being run off her feet she always had a smile.

Best seen on Market Day
May 2017 • Couples
The old hall comes alive on the Friday Market. Just to walk through this area with the vendor selling Fruit and Veg, Fish, Cheeses, Meats, and spices really gives you a sense of this whole community. The market even extend out onto the neighboring streets. The Tourism office and galleries are just next door.

Impressive Medieval Structure
Jun 2016 • Couples
We stayed in Clisson for a few days during the Hellfest music festival and we visited Les Halle's on a couple of occasions. It's a great place to sit and soak up the atmosphere of the medieval village that is Clisson. Les Halle's has different functions during the week - on two of the days we were there there was a small festival that featured art work, live music and a local craft brewer.

Grab a beer from the brasserie, grab a seat and take it all in.
