Beautiful trek to splash in clear but cold water
Aug 2021
Last part og GR20 (North part) before reaching Vizzavona is also starting point for a day trip. Not difficult to walk up, the trail is easy to navigate (just watch for red/white sign og GR20) surface not rocky or need to use chains, this is easy part of GR20. The trek is done with families with children. Many opportunities to grab a good spot for cooling down in crystal clear water and swimming. Late in summer the water level or strength can go down. Water refreshing and cold. From Vizzavona it is 45-90 min walk, depending how far you go. Around 20-30 minutes from Vizzavona there is a bar and also rope center. Some parts of the trail are in shade,

Pleasant short walk but didn't live up to the hype
Sep 2020 • Couples
Perhaps the waterfalls are more impressive in early summer but at the beginning of September they were a real anti climax to our walk. The walk itself is pleasant, well marked and mainly shaded through woods. It is an easy path that meanders fairly gently uphill. It took us reasonably fit mid 50 year old about 1 hr 10 mins for the 4 mlle there and back trip.

There is plenty of parking at the train station at the start of the walk and several cafes there. We were just a bit disappointed as we'd driven around 35 minutes from Corte as its hyped as one of the best short walks in Corsica. However, you do pass through some nice villages and there are good scenic photo ops.

Nice walk to not too big water falls
Jul 2020 • Family
Go to Vizzavona train station and then a bit further to the Casa de Nature (House of Nature). From there simple trail with good signage through beautiful woods to the bottom of the falls. From there hike becomes somewhat more challenging over rocks, etc. to get to the main and longer part of the falls and the better views. Still quite doable. Falls are ok in summer (not too big), and pools apparently are nice to swim in (quite some people were, although not too busy, but very cold water).
About one hour to start of falls, then up to you how far to continue up, then 45 mins down again.

Lovely Walk
Sep 2019
This is a really enjoyable walk! The start is a relatively flat path which becomes gradually rockier as you approach the streams at the bottom of the waterfall. We didn't quite make it to the bottom of the waterfall but it is still a nice really pleasant stroll.

Parking may be a bit of struggle. There are 2 entrances - the one with the stroll to start with has much less parking; whereas the start location with a larger car park has a much tougher start.

Nice waterfalls
Jul 2019 • Family
We visited on a hot July day with our three kids. Though our walking book said to park near the train station, we couldn’t see one and parked in a signposted lot (however that was where the signs ended). We ended up walking for about 45 minutes to the falls, thanks to our phones navigating. The walk was pretty but not challenging at all. There was a man made path that led past some high ropes, then a sandwich bar, where the pools began. It’s hot and dry now, so the waterfalls weren’t torrentially rushing down, but the pools were wonderfully clear, if not small. And they were extremely crowded. (Other reviewers have advised to get there early to have some peace - which we unfortunately did not heed.) But there are lots of pools! So we kept going further up. We did end up getting a great spot right next to a pool big enough for swimming. The water is COLD but refreshing. The path does go on for miles, as it’s part of the GR20, but the kids had an encounter with a beetle that can only be described as ENORMOUS, sporting antennae about twice the length of its body. So that was the end of our exploring. :) The waterfalls are nice, but I’d say our experience at Piscines Naturalles was better (nothing to do with the beetle).

Don't stop at the waterfall, the challenge starts there.
Jul 2019 • Friends
Please don't stop at the waterfall. The walk to there isn't very challenging and the view isn't the best either. Once you arrive, go further uphill. We continued the hike for 2 more hours and got to see very cool things. Quite challenging hike as well actually, if you choose to stay in 'the water' and don't take the side path that's just a man-made path. You wil definitely enjoy the cool rocks and very calm little pools to go in. Freezing cold water, but very refreshing after hours of jumping from one rock to another. Would recommend, but only if you go beyond the waterfall and like a little challenge.

Nice place
Jun 2019 • Couples
A 30 min walk takes you to the waterfall. Nice place to put your feet in the water before you return. A bar with sandwiches at your disposal after ten minutes walking.

Beautiful Falls
Apr 2019 • Friends
At the end of our GR20 North trail we came across this beautiful waterfall where we could relax and soak in our tired feet. Many tourists were hanging around. It's barely an hour walk from Vizzavona village. Truly majestic

High mountains and water
Oct 2018 • Couples
The walk from Vizzavona station is mostly not strenuous, although there is scrambling to be done to reach the main part of the waterfall. Even on the flatter sections the path is stony so strong footwear is essential, all the more so near the rocks at the waterfall after rain. The views of Monte d'Oro are superb.

off-the-road and wonderful
Sep 2018 • Couples
Near the highest point on the T20 road near Vizzavona you can see a parking area just off the road, where the trail towards the waterfalls begin. It is signed pretty poorly but that is the normal situation in Corsica. The trail goes up in a sharp angle from the parking lot. It reaches an old building, probably of a farm, now in ruins, and right after it you turn left and down the slope towards the cascades. It requires good grip shoes or sandals (I did it in source sandals) as the trail becomes rough with bolders towards its end. It is worth while as the cascades are wonderful, calm and the atmosphere is fresh. You then have an option - either you follow the red-white signs of the GR20 all the way to Vizzavona station (Gare de Vizzavona) or you return in the same way to the parking lot.
