Disorganized and unprofessional

Why insist on masks being worn if your employees don’t wear them properly. Our tour guide was “wearing” her’s so low you could see her entire mouth! Other employees walked by us in cramped spaces without wearing them at all!
Also infuriating was the fact that we were the only ones that showed up on time for our tour. Despite this, our guide kept walking away from us to repeat the info for late arrivals.
If you want to see a real aquarium, this isn’t the place. Just a few small tanks.

Disappointment
Aug 2021
It was a great experience with our older grandchildren when they were young but now that Georgia Aquarium is there they seem to only be interested in packing as many people into a tank as possible and running a few different programs in the same tank at the same time. The chaotic experience takes away the joy of the interaction with the dolphins in the Dolphin Encounter. The one photographer seems distracted and our picture of Grandfather and Granddaughter is of the backs of their heads instead of the smiling faces we have of the others with the dolphins. I guess it is impossible to catch people riding the backs of dolphins at the same time others are petting them and there is a crowd of folks between you. The educational portion is lost to counting and sorting people during the first half of your time. Very disappointing all around.

Worth The Price
Aug 2021 • Family
This is an amazing place as long as you purchase the Dolphin Experience. There is not much to do otherwise. The shark encounter is a green pool with mystery animals unseen. The turtle experience is short and lacking. I purchased the Swim Adventure for my nieces. At $149 each I believe that it was worth the price. They were with a group of other customers and still experienced individual attention and a memorable time with two dolphins. I waited on hot bleachers with virtually no shade but thoroughly enjoying watching my girls in the pool. The pictures were an additional $90 for 52 pictures because who could pick just two? The pictures are unlimited downloads for 30 days and I sent the link to everyone I know whom would appreciate their experience. This park has been much maligned on reviews but where else can you have your children feel that they are dolphin trainers and have such a hands and hearts on encounter with amazing creatures?

Some Nice Memories but some "Know Before You Go" tips, here
Aug 2021
We did a Dolphin Encounter and Tortoise Time. While we enjoyed both experiences, there is some confusion on site and some "know before you go" things that we wished we knew ahead of time. The keepers/trainers are wonderful people and the animals are precious. They make it very clear that you cannot take your own photos. I do think the Dolphin experiences should include at least (1) photo in the price. The Tortoise time included all the photos and they were great.

1-Be prepared to WALK, WAIT and STAND a LOT. There are limited places to sit.

2-There are very few lockers for your stuff so you may not get one. And, the locker room was packed when I was in there. I felt very unsafe as no one was wearing masks in the locker room except me and maybe one other person.

3-Read all of the details that they send you. I noticed that the fine print said that we had to bring our own towels.

4-If you are confused about what group you are in, etc. ask the staff. They were very patient with my Autistic nephew, who was worried when we had people in our group that had different colored wristbands. It all worked out, but, it can be unsettling if you have anyone in your party with special needs.

5-When our group was done, we saw this HUGE line at the "Photos" door. Since both my nephew and I have special needs, we were not able to wait in that line. But, apparently the prices are better if you can wait in line and pay for photos after your experience. We were able to access our photos online.

6-Bring a change of clothes.

7-As other reviewers stated, this facility is better experienced if you sign up for one of their encounters.

8-I highly recommend the Tortoise Time as a great value as photos and some artwork are included in the price.

Overall, we had some nice memories.

Don’t do general admission
Jul 2021 • Family
New marketing campaign for general admission guests:

Come see other people interact with dolphins! It’s not really a show, but you can watch them ride dolphins.
Then, see our turtle we rescued from a boat attack in 2013.
Next, we have a hill - maybe the only one in Florida. You can sit on a bench on top of the hill!
Then, we have a black tank filled with algae and a shark you can almost make out if you look really closely.
Enjoy your visit!

I’m sure it’s great if you pay for the dolphin encounter. Don’t expect anything beyond the encounter…but that seems cool.

For general admission, total waste of $22.

If you aren’t planning to pay for a premium experience don’t waste your time!

So glad we paid admission to watch a bunch of people that felt like paying the extra to actually interact with dolphins. I know thats how they make their money but I truly expected to see more than a few sea turtles, a totally dark above ground swimming pool with maybe a few sharks inside and then walk in the heat with no shade to watch the paid encounters with the dolphins.
The only thing that saved the day was the aquarium tour with Joan.
My poor sister in law uses a cane and has difficulty walking long distances. We were by the dolphin tanks and she asked an employee for a nearby restroom (we could see it!) and she said it was all the way back at the gift shop. My sister in law said she wasn’t sure she could make it that far in time but the employee could barely tear herself away from her phone and be helpful. The employee did stop and ask to see her wristband…apparently if we had paid the extra then she would have been deemed worthy of the close restroom.
Had we known we wouldn’t have come here.

Memory-filled day trip
Mar 2021
What an amazing surprise! As Floridians, we did a day trip - and we are so glad we did! My 10-year-old son loves the ocean and marine life. He enjoyed seeing the turtles and learn about the shark research being conducted but most importantly - the dolphin experience is unlike anything we could have dreamed about. We learn a great deal about the animals and had incredible personal, 1:1 experiences with them. The trainers were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. The souvenir photos we will treasure forever. We highly recommend this Florida gem.

Marineland--cross this off list

Wanted to see the dolphins and the exhibits. It is a very small park and you can see all the exhibits in less then 20 minutes. We didn't want to wait the 2 hours for the dolphin show, so we watched the participants who paid $$ to swim with the dolphins.

For 4 of us it was over $50 for about a 40 minute stay. But I guess you are supporting dolphin research

Not worth the time and money.
Jun 2021 • Family
We traveled from Orlando to this dolphin adventure place due to our limited research.
Their website is poor. Very hard to find information out even get updates.
We showed up early for our time slot. There was a storm so we had to wait. But after the storm passed they put us in the water with the dolphins. We signed up to do the kids adventure and the kids swim. The kids adventure was a disappointment. Our 4 year olds got to touch the dolphin 2 times. Our teen Agers did the 5 second ride and the 2 touches.
Needless to say it is not worth the $$$$ paid. After the swimming is over. Get ready to pay big money if you want the pictures. They asked for over $225 for the digital prints to be sent to us.
Save the drive and save the money. Possibly there is a better place to try this.
