A very old church and abbey from the early days of christianity in Poland. Highly interesting. Don't forget to look at the wooden sculptures on the doors.

We were visiting family in Trzebnica and church is basically the only place to see in this small town. It's very well kept and has lots of beautiful statues .

A truly beautiful place, worth a visit though it is a bit off the popular route. Unfortunately no English guide.

We stopped here on a private tour from Wroclaw. This abbey dates back to the 13th century and contains the tombs of St. Hedwig and her husband, Henry I. It has Romanesque features with Baroque added. We didn't get in to abbey, but we got to see the church interior and were shown the relics of St. Hedwig. It's worth a stop if you're in the Wroclaw area, a train also runs to Trzbenica from Wroclaw a few times a day.

Besides the Town Hall, the Sanctuary of St. Jadwiga are the two top landmarks of Trzebnica which you mustn't skip if you happen to be near by.

A beautiful church originating from the 13th century with a lot of later baroque decorations of very high artistic quality. A tomb of St Jadwiga is located by the altar on the right side. Also, the church contains a grave of the last person from the famed Piast dynasty that ruled Silesia for centuries.

When you are coming to Trzebnica it's worth to stop and see the Sanctuary. The place has been founded in 1203 and there is still the small chamber (kaplica św. Bartłomieja) coming from the very beginning of the church. Now it is typical church in baroque style with some intersting sculptures and paintings, including Michael Willman ones.
If you are not the fan of baroque architecture - it's great to spend up to 30 minutes in this place. But it's not the one of must-see like Lubiąż or Krzeszów.
