Puek Tian Beach
Jul 2021 • Family
Puek Tian Beach is a beautiful and peaceful beach. Statues from characters in Phra Aphai Mani, namely the sea butterfly, Phra Aphai Mani, Sinsamut, and the mermaid, are like replicas of a scene from an episode of this literature.
Suitable for tourists who like peace and quiet. because this beach is not very crowded But if going during the Songkran Festival, there may be more people than usual and the weather is stuffy.

Quiet, but not really any beach
Feb 2019 • Solo
There are just a few resorts and restaurants along this stretch of coastline. Although this time I was just a day-tripper, I'd have to say the number one draw to this place would be that it's kind of a long way from nowhere, and thus very quiet. Unless there's a karaoke bar nearby, that is...
There's very little sand between the sea and the sea wall, and virtually none at high tide. But if quiet and isolation suit you, then this might be a great option for you. Perhaps I'll try it out myself for a few nights next time around and give a more helpful review.

Magic Lost!!!
Mar 2017 • Family
When in, Hua Hin, we usually make a visit to this once beautifully quaint little beach to enjoy the peace and quite, take a walk and have a drink in the restaurant overlooking the beach while taking in the various characters from Thai fables situated around the area.

What a shock we had this year to find that areas which were once open, are now built up with the ugly 'umbrella beach city' more in tune with Pattaya than this previously lovely little beach. It is now patrolled by packs of dogs, marketeers, leaving their filth and waste behind them, rude and aggressive car parking attendants, who were quite intimidating in there disorganised shouting.

The beach is now lost to Foreign travellers, its charm, individuality and friendly atmosphere has been replaced with unfriendly, aggressive people. It is not a place I would feel comfortable taking a family, it is dirty and all open spaces replaced with car parks and markets. What made this beach so special has sadly gone and will miss visiting in the future. What gave this place its charm was the characters of Thai fable's, and a relaxed atmosphere which are now lost. Unless you know where to look for the characters they cannot be distinguished amongst the umbrellas and buildings.

The main restaurant, once so well run, is now manned by staff incapable of even making a coffee, the espresso was completely watered down, cappuccino without steamed milk etc etc.

Very sorry to have give this beach such a poor rating following our previous joyful experiences here and only hope that it recovers before it will be too late.

Don't go here specially to see this attraction but combine it with more places to visit. It will only take you 15 minutes to see everything. Not really special. There are some nice restaurants.

Plenty of places to eat and drink here
Oct 2016
We've only ever passed through here without staying. There are plenty of nice restaurants and coffee shops next to the beach and it is a nice place to stop for a drink and/or bite to eat if you are passing. One thing, the staff at the restaurants can be quite 'assertive' in trying to get you to come into their shop - this may be because it is quiet most of the time and so not many customers to choose from!

Not a soul about!!
Nov 2016 • Couples
Took a taxi trip here for the afternoon and was greeted with absolutely nobody!! Perfect, not a soul about so we enjoyed a walk along the beach with a ice cold beer viewing the strange artwork.

A nice place to relax and have a beer
Jan 2016
This is primarily a resort area for Thais. You'll see very few westerners here. There are tons of little restaurants on the beach, although I only ate at one, and the food was marginal. There are some interesting statues anchored out in the surf, which make for some unique photos. An OK place to spend a few hours away from the crowds, but I wouldn't recommend it for any longer than maybe one night.

Deserted rocky beach and deserted beach hotel
Feb 2016
We were staying in Cha am and decided to cycle from Cha am to Puek Tian Beach. It is a easy ride as the road has no gradients and there is also a cycle lane. It took us 1.5 hours with a couple of quick stops. When we got there we were a little disappointed as there were no tourists or locals. The place is very quiet and I fail to understand how the hotels and restaurants survive. The hotel on the beach is quiet expensive at 3500 bhat for the cheapest bunglows. All in all a nice place but nothing happening or excitement. A good cycle ride though.

Scary giant black statue in the sea
Dec 2014
We were very impressed by this scary black giant statue of Pee Seua Samut and Phra Apai Mani with Magic Flute. The drive there is quite long and it is around one hour from Hua Hin. It is interesting that the sea was nearly deserted, not sure whethre that was coincidence.
