We went in early spring before the blooms had begun and it was still a wonderful walk about. There is obvious love and care put into this rambling garden that it is a calming walk about throughout the seasons.

Clearly many hours of hard work went into creating this garden on Mayne Island to commemorate the contributions made by Japanese landowners to the island prior to their expulsion in 1942.

I'm not sure if the dog is allowed into the gardens but it is allowed in the big surrounding park. There is also a free frizbie golf course you can use as you walk around with the dog :)
