Join us on a wildlife adventure kayaking trip, we are located on the calm waterfront of Ucluelet Harbour. Ucluelet's Original Kayak Company. Decades of award winning years leading on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. Professional wildlife adventure kayak tours for half day, full day and multi day adventures from Ucluelet, in Barkley Sound and the Broken Group Islands, Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, and in Clayoquot Sound-Tofino. Amazing kayaking experience from start to finish.

From start to finish this was an amazing experience. They kitted us out with all the gear we needed and then took us by boat to the Broken Group islands. Our guides were informative about the area and they catered to our prefered paddle speed. Lunch was delicious and nutritious. They even arranged for spectacular weather! I would highly recommend this company if you are looking for a guided kayaking experience.

4 day Broken Island Tour

4 days of paddling through the Broken Group Islands with Majestic is a unique experience not to be missed. Our guide, Rodrigo, shared his passion for this adventure with great enthusiasm. He was always there to help, making sure everyone was comfortable and safe. He was cooking every meal for us using fresh ingredients from day 1 to day 4. Dressings, toppings, sauces, desserts are all homemade, what a treat! (other kayakers were so jealous)
The Broken Group Island scenery is breathtaking. After discussing the itinerary for the day, Rodrigo was taking us to so many hidden places, talking about the culture, history, marine life, and wildlife... What a learning experience, and fun at the same time.
Everything was well organised and I can feel this is the result of teamwork. I am looking forward to next summer to book another tour with Majestic. Many thanks for this special adventure on the water.

Fabulous Kayaking day trip

We did the Barkley Sound / Toquaht Bay day trip and it was fantastic! We were originally scheduled to do the Broken Group Islands day trip but it was cancelled due to weather and fortunately there was room available the next day for the Barkley Sound / Toquaht Bay trip. The office staff were extremely flexible and helpful while we rearranged our travel and accommodation plans to be able to stay the extra night so we could do the trip the next day. They were also efficient at rescheduling our trip and reimbursing the cost differential. There were 4 couples on this trip with two phenomenal and professional guides (Courtenay and Filipe [from Chili]). Courtenay was not only a skilled kayaker and guide, but was also clearly passionate and knowledgeable about the natural and social history of the sea and the area, often stopping to point out the wildlife sightings and discuss their role in the local ecosystem. The trip was very well organized and ran like clockwork from start to finish. I would highly recommend this trip and look forward to a day when we can return to experience another trip!

Ocean Camping Trip to The Broken Group Islands.

Our four day trip out to the Broken Group of Islands was fabulous. We were a group of five with one guide. The tents and kayaks we used from Majestic were of high quality. Our guide, Ben, was so knowledgeable about the islands and about the First Nations influence. He imparted their history and traditions with very evident respect. We were constantly learning new things. Ben had a gentle, unassuming manner about him, which served to encourage our paddle group. However, there was never any doubt as to who was in charge. He was meticulous in caring for the equipment, and in checking for food allergies. We quickly discovered his amazing skillset. When it rained, he quickly put up a tarp and engineered a dry space to eat and hang out. Ben was skillful in using the weather patterns to make smart decisions regarding where to paddle, and where to camp each day. The food was cooked well, and was delicious. It was such a treat not to have to worry about cooking ourselves. The whole team at Majestic were so friendly, welcoming and willing to help in any way. Congratulations to Tracy for 25+ successful years as company owner. We wish her all the best in her retirement.

Fantastic multi day tour, perfect for family with teenagers!

We had a multi-day tour around Barkley Sound and it was absolutely fantastic. Our guides were Paula and Morgan and they definitely did an amazing job. Not just guiding us on how to Kayak better but they cooked, helped us with our tents and their enthusiasm and amazing attitude were contagious. In total We were a group of 10, my family of 4 and another 6 from another group and we all got on really well during the 3 days the tour lasted. The Kayaking was not very hard, it was just right to our level of fitness. Paula's knowledge on seaweed was incredible and she was happy to share it with us and make the trip even more interesting. The food was also superb, we were never hungry or thirsty. I will definitely be recommending Majestic Ocean Kayaking to my friends. Thank you very much to all the team that makes this trip a fantastic experience. I will update this review with some photos when I get home.

Very good place to do seakayaking

Wer booked the harbour tour which was cncelled due to a covid infection of the planned guide. We were informed early and could rebook the tour.
The open water Tour was excellent and the group was small enough to get very good guiding.

Excellent Kayaking Experience

Barkley Sound / Outside Waters this was well organized. The kayaks are in very good condition. The guide was excellent taking us through small passages where we could observe nature, the guide was very knowledgeable of the waters the area and the various wildlife that we encountered. We would recommend Majestic Ocean Kayaking to anyone wanting to experience an enjoyable kayaking experience in those waters.

Way beyond a tour

My wife and I paddled Toquaht Bay and the islands of the northwest side of Barkley Sound with Kristy in early August and had such a great day under her guidance that we returned to repeat the trip in late September - this time bringing friends who, though much more experienced kayakers than us, now have serious health issues that can disorient them. Our guides, Kai and Eric, shepherded them in an unobtrusive way as if this was a normal part of their job, allowing us to relax and enjoy the day and our friends to fully experience what may have been their last ocean kayaking. On top of this, of course, these two guides are incredibly knowledgeable and we all came away with an enriched understanding of this spectacular part of the world. We can't say enough good things about this company and its staff.

Great Water Taxi Experience

Majestic Ocean Kayaking arranged a water taxi for us to get into the Broken Group. Our Plan A hadn't worked out, so these wonderful people saved the day and our vacation. They were so helpful, and Gary, the boat cabin was delightful. He told fascinating stories, showed us wildlife, and took us to our drop off, then picked us up at the end of the week even though we missed the rendezvous spot.

A Comfortable Option to Kayaking the Broken Group Islands

We went on the Glamping in the Broken Group Islands, 4 Day Kayaking & 3 night Lodge stay. Our guide, Eric, was extremely knowledgeable and selected timely moments to share information while giving us space to savour the peace and calm of the Broken Group experience. Eric customized our kayaking effort to our abilities and some how cultivated pride in our daily accomplishments (the 4 of us are 60+). We saw wildlife from a little distance - bears on the beach, eagles and osprey in the air, whales spouting in the channel, mink swimming to shore, seals relaxing on rocks, and sea life galore, including salmon jumping out of the water. Staying at the Sechart Lodge was a comfortable option for us. It was great to dry off and warm up, not to mention a queen size bed to get a good night's sleep. The staff at the lodge were pleasant and the meals were good. We are so glad we went with the Majestic Team - their equipment is top of the line and they went above and beyond to ensure a first rate experience. Thank you Majestic!
