This is an outstanding boating/wildlife viewing excursion on Alan and Toddy's gorgeous and immaculately clean 53' yacht! This gracious couple knows what they are doing!! They are seasoned sailors. They each have a keen interest and endless knowledge of the area and it's wildlife. The rugged sights of the Broken Islands within the Pacific Rim are breathtaking. Alan and Toddy... More

We booked this trip before leaving the UK, after reviewing all the other trips that were offered, we opted for The Broken Islands cruise which lasts 5 and a half hours. We were welcomed on board by Toddy and Alan's boat (and home) and given a run through of what to expect and the safety notices etc. We were lucky... More

We had a great extended boat tour of the Broken Island Group. Saw lots of wildlife, land and aquatic. The ship was very well equipped to make our tour comfortable and Alan and Toddy clearly know about the wildlife, fishing, and history of the area. The luncheon was delicious and served on deck where we could enjoy the outstanding views.

We had a great day around the Broken Group Islands with Alan and Toddy, who are the perfect hosts, who really know their business and how to make everyone welcome and fully included, even providing binoculars for everyone. Toddy advised us to change the original day, so that the weather would be better. (No many operators would do that). Certainly... More

We booked this cruise after reading that it was one of the best wildlife cruise operators in British Columbia. Our high expectations were met, with Toddy and Al being the consummate hosts. Both worked previously in the fishing sector and have lived on the island for years so have an intimate knowledge of the waters and the wildlife. We were... More

I took this cruise with my sister who was visiting from Norway. We were both thrilled with the day. Al and Toddy were excellent hosts ensuring our comfort and sharing their endless knowledge of the area, history and wildlife. Our comfort and experience was top priority when planning this trip with Toddy. I highly recommend this trip and will bring... More

We were looking for a wildlife experience that was less commercial. We saw Archipelago Wildlife Cruises on Trip Advisor & knew this is what we were looking for. On Sept. 27 we stepped aboard The Raincoast Maiden, a beautiful yacht. The hosts, Toddy & Al, immediately made us feel welcome. We were 2 of 17 guests. After a quick chat... More

Beautiful boat, great hosts in Toddy and Allen, wonderful tour through the Broken Group Islands. We were very lucky to get perfect weather and got lucky seeing a pod of transient killer whales, sea lions, seals, sea otters, bald eagles and a variety of coastal birds - it was incredible!! Toddy and Allen are extremely competent seafarers and shared their... More

I have taken the trip twice this year, once in May and again in September both trips have been wonderful experiences. The cruise takes you through the Broken Group Islands, a rugged and wild area within the Pacific Rim Park. On both trips we were able to view whales, sea otters, seals, and sea lions. On one trip we observed... More

The good: great boat; great hosts; beautiful scenery The not so good: more of a boat ride with lunch than a "wildlife" tour. most of what we saw was within 1/2 mile of the dock.

Thanks for taking the time to post a review of your day with us. We are pleased that you liked the boat and enjoyed the scenery but we are surprised by your recollection of the wildlife we saw. According to our log in which we record the exact location of all wildlife we encounter each day, this is what we... More
