Wasn't quite expecting a tiny quanset church so far up north, but we thought it was delightful and well looked after. Worth a stop for a photo!

If you are in Haines Junction, it's worth a quick stop to see this Catholic church, built from an abandoned Quonset hut. You can go inside and it is still an actively used church.

Built by Catholic priests from a US Army Quonset hut. Attractive, simple outside. Inside was very charming. We are very glad we took the time to stop and look. Feel free to leave a donation.

Unique church found in Haines Junction. Neat photo area, it's even open so you can see the inside. Left over Quonset hut left over from when the military built the Alaskan highway.

As another reviewer stated, this is a Catholic church fashioned out of an old quonset hut. It is quite beautiful. Definitely worth a picture and a visit.

The church was built in 1954 by Father E. Morriset O.M.I., using an old Quonset hut. It's a very distinctive church. You can go inside and they offer pictures for a donation. They have mass on Sunday at 10:30. I couldn't find the exact address...More
