The booking system for the children’s adventure playground was a great idea and was carried out very efficiently.
However for the second time in 2 months I was charged £6.60 despite only staying for just over 2 hours yesterday and less than 2 hours when I visited before. Also my son-in-law was charged the daily rate yesterday when he was only there for less than two hours. We both received receipts stating the correct amount we were going to be charged but on checking our bank statements it is clear that on the 3 occasions we were charged the maximum rate of £6.60.
I am very angry and disappointed. Surely there must be a way for us to be reimbursed. Please let me know how to proceed.

Living near to Dinton it’s lovely to visit in the summer and winter, the parking is expensive in the summer season but cheaper in the winter months.
Lovely walk and well kept environment and play park is great for kids those you can’t expect any social distancing as soon busy.
The cafe is open but you can bring a picnic, the queue as we didn’t realise they were taking part in the help to eat scheme took just under a hour but food was great and could use the tables as all open.
Nice day out on a sunny warm day.

First visit to Dinton Pastures Country Park, and experiencing it in a post lockdown socially distancing manner.

Visited on a Friday at the start of school holidays and didn’t find it at all busy. Whether that’s normal or a COVID thing I don’t know, but it did make social distancing easy in general (but see below).

Parking is reasonably priced when compared to many country parks.

Enjoyed a brisk walk (around 2 miles) around part of the lake. Good wide paths.
Next time will tackle the other part, or the whole lake. I’d imagine there are countless permutations for routes (and walking paces) around the place.

Brief queue for a post walk cuppa and one little niggle here. You queue to order and pay at one window and are directed around a corner to collect your order at another. The first part is quicker than the second so a bit of a customer backlog occurred making social distancing a challenge briefly. It was a very nice cup of tea though, one of the nicest I’ve had for a long time.

We didn’t use it but the children’s adventure playground looked fantastic.
Likewise the crazy golf, although the course did look small. Could be cozy when busy.

Hand sanitizers provided outside the toilets and cafe smelled very very alcoholic so felt very assured using them 😄

So glad to have discovered the place and will definitely be back

Car parking NIGHT MARE. The signs outside and inside the car park clearly stated that the car park would close at 10PM. We even double checked at reception, as it seemed strange we had to be off the lake by 5PM but the car park didn't close until 10PM. So we left our van and went for a walk around. Only to find upon returning to our van at 7PM that the height restricting barrier (1.98m) was locked in place.
The only way out was to make a phone call and wait for almost an hour, after paying the £91.30 release fine!
No signs in the car park whatsoever that this would happen. Very frustrating- Dont go here with your van.

Beautiful lakes with lots of walkways to explore. Excellent play area for children. Only downside the cafe is under new ownership and menu is extremely limited. We checked before travelling that the cafe was open. However after arriving and paying car parking the staff refused to serve coffee at 3.50pm. This is unacceptable. The Dragonfly cafe was much better both in food served, selection of products and friendliness of staff.

Having seen several social media posts a few days ago inviting customers to try the new deli boards and delicious food me and. My husband walked with our newborn on a lovely sunny day to the cafe and the activity centre. It has been built in the last year and a gorgeous setting but lacked any decent cafe style. So this looked great! It took us an hour to walk from the local area but was the first week of warm sunny weather this year and was pleasant.

However, on arrival we friend to order the food and we’re told it wasn’t available yet and wouldn’t be for some time. I tried to order an milk/ice cream shake they had listed on the board to be told the same. Instead we had a baguette that was average at best and had dried cucumber in it.

I understand it is new management etc but just don’t advertise and invite people to try the new food if it’s not ready yet!!! Disappointing and don’t bother going yet until they are sorted. It’s average coffee and food and not what’s advertised at the minute.

Park is lovely as always.

Lovely place to walk - but watch the car parking charges. If you use the 'check in, check out system' you'll be charged the full day rate ... and then apparently a refund for the balance will be made to your account several days later. It's really not clear from the signage - I had to phone up to find this out after I noticed we were overcharged.

A bit congested near the car park and children's play areas, but keep walking on past and very quickly you are away from people, with lovely walks around the lakes. Once walking, everyone adhered to social distancing, passing people carefully or standing back. The cafe area was a dream- fast moving queue and superbly well organised food and drink production, with lots of well-distanced tables to sit at. An enjoyable trip out.

We visited the new cafe in the activity centre. It’s advertised as gourmet coffee.
It was appalling.
There’s no prices on anything. I took back the pathetic childrens sandwich which was made using one slice of white sliced bread when I saw on the receipt that it was £3!
The poor staff are really badly trained/untrained . The cappuccino had no coffee in it. The hot chocolate hadn’t been stirred and was thick at the bottom. I asked for it to be cooled, it came very hot and not at all suitable for children.
We will definitely not be coming back.

Brilliant place to visit. The park is huge and looks very exciting for children. There are lots of different lakes and walks to do so you won’t get bored if you go often. There are always plenty of geese and swans so you can go and feed them.

There is a little cafe selling food and drink and lots of picnic benches and areas to sit and enjoy the beautiful view.

The carpark is expensive but the walk is beautiful so worth it.
