Walk to suspension bridge is worth of extra ten minutes walk. Track along the pond is enjoyable. There are plenty of picnic tables and fire pits. Unfortunately, could not do any BBQ due to fire ban.

Kudos to Alberta Parks for paving the trails surrounding this beautiful little spot. It makes hauling the cooler and bbq for a great picnic so much easier. The parking lot has been improved as well. This place is so scenic, it's one of those attractions where it's literally hard to take a bad picture. In the warm months, people do bring little kayaks and inflatables to splash around in on the pond, but it's not a swimming hole for anybody but the hardiest, as far as we can tell. We've been here on a warm weekend, and it REALLY gets overrun, but some people like that. This is a great place to spend some time with the family, to picnic, or just to meditate.

A great place for a picnic, or stroll/scoot around the pond & relax at one of the many benches. It’s tranquil & the views are stunning. The new construction includes paved paths around the pond. This makes it easy for those with mobility challenges who require a walker, scooter, wheel chair or mobility aids. Also many of the picnic sites are paved allowing easy access. Plenty of paved parking as well. Unfortunately at the time we were there, the Pit Toilets were dirty & messy. They seem to not be attended too regularly. The Province has done a Great Job in upgrading this area after the flood. A Fantastic Place Enjoy!

Beautiful clean pond, lovely walk around and lots of areas to have a nice picnic or meal. My daughter swims in the pond - it is very cold - but she loves it!

This little pond is a wonderful place to spend a whole day with family and friends. We were a group with several families with kids from babies to teens. We had lunch, tea and dinner at the site. And we all enjoyed it.

There's an easy hike around the pond (maybe a bit more than 1 km), and at different points you see completely different views that you can't guess it's the same location. And the colour of the water varies from place to place. A very good place to photograph even on a crowded day.

There are tons of picnic locations around it with tables and fire pits. You can find treed spots, grassy spots, gravel spots, spots near flowing water, spots with view, spots with privacy, spots closer to parking lot etc... Also the washrooms (pit toilets) are clean and in good condition.

We also had small inflatable boats in which we had fun floating about. There's also an exposed riverbed close by (I think it's exposed after the flood) which we explored. There're also tons of wildflowers and birds.

There are a lot of picnickers though, which can be a bit noisy. But there are spots that are more private thanks to trees. We visited in the fall of 2016 as well. It was beautiful with fall colours but a bit chilly. All in all a beautiful site to visit in all seasons a short distance from Calgary.

We had wanted to take a look at this normally gorgeous pond, but unfortunately it is totally closed as they are doing a lot of construction around it. Hopefully, they aren't going to ruin it...

Went to the Forget-me-not pond in Summer 2017 on a warm day. It was very pleasant location with clean, but smaller picnic spots. The scenery is absolutely stunning! We reached after 12 noon, and found the picnic spots to be already occupied, especially the larger roomier ones which were on a flat surface. We had portable grill so we were able to occupy the area on a slope by the pond, and we were able to enjoy with people of all ages in my group. You can take a stroll around the pond for a relaxing afternoon. Kids can splash around the pond (some areas are shallow, but water is cold!). Us adults enjoyed every bit of the peaceful atmosphere there.

Must visit!

This little body of water is so peaceful and the walk around the pond is easy and tranquil. I loved all the little ground squirrels peaking their heads up to say hello. The tributes on the benches to lost family members brings a bit of whimsy to your walk. Enjoy!

It is a beautiful place close to Calgary, perfect spot for relaxing, picknicing for families with/without kids. We were looking for a place where you can swim, but this lake is too cold. It is a beautiful mountain little lake, but definitely not for swimming.
