What a beautiful place to spend some time exploring the area. There are some restaurants and shops in town and boat rentals as well. I could never get tired of the views. Hopefully all of the new construction doesn't take a toll on things.

Horseshoe bay looks like a setting of a Hallmark movie. The park, the bay, the beautiful mountains, the ferry boat waiting to leave.
There is nothing terribly exciting to do, but it was a great place to find, almost by accident, in West Vancouver. It is easy to find, as it is literally where the Trans Canada Highway ends.

In June we took our overseas visitor to Horseshoe Bay. It was a lovely spot to visit and spend some time. The park area is very nice with benches in strategic places for optimum views of the ferry terminal and surrounds. It is an easy drive from the Lions Gate Bridge and definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended.

A very small park right on the harbour. You come here for the views which are beautiful. Great place to see all the ferries going to the islands.

Small beach overlooking the ferry dock and at least two other docks. Fun to walk along the beach and on the middle dock. Very picturesque with mountains, boats, etc. If you have the choice of visiting the village and the park or sitting in your car, go visit the village and park! You won't regret it.

A beautiful place to walk around and watch the ferries dock from here. However, the park could use some improvement in terms of cleanliness. Nice to place to oversee the islands in the distance.

Horseshoe Bay Park was a nice, well maintained little park on the bay. There were flowers, grass and places to sit with a good view of the bay, mountains and ferry. We watched a goose family, Mom, Dad & baby, walking along having their dinner.

Nice park for a short stroll while waiting for take out and the ferry. Went out to the government dock for the first time in 20 years - even better views.

I went here with a friend over 20 years ago and we wanted to revisit this scenic spot. It was a longer drive from our North Vancouver hotel and difficult to find (free) parking, but the view was worth it. My favorite part of the day was just sitting on the dock enjoying the spectacular view-reminiscent of a fjord in Norway. We saw the ferries come & go and I wrote post cards, we chatted & took lots of photos. We did walk through the town and saw the limited shops-not impressive in my opinion (mostly looking for souvenirs) and got some fish & chips from Troll's on Bay St. Unfortunately they weren't so great-I was hungry, but they were too greasy & heavy (not as good as Dave's in Steveston!) and I ended up sharing most of them with the hungry local birds. Also, a tip-when you use your credit card on their small mobile card reader-be sure to have your glasses on so you press the correct button with the choices of tip or no tip! I couldn't see so well and the guy was trying to tell me to press the "tip" button, but luckily I figured it out. (other places with this small device also have those tricky options). It was just take- out fish & chips, so I felt it didn't warrant a tip.
