Magical place, wonderful wiews and pportunity to visit numerous wineries in the same area and of course taste and buy fine wines. If younlike emotions you can go to Por Aventura Park.

its quite hard to find, but there are large maps in the village of escaladei and the road (which is narrow and winding through vineyards) takes you to the ruins. There is an entrance fee except for tuesday, its closed on mondays

Restoring a place as ruined as this is a mammoth undertaking and the regional government has to be praised for what is being achieved here. There's a little shop and toilets, but not much else by way of facilities, but it is a fascinating place...More
