Первый еврейский молитвенный дом открыт в Оренбурге в 1870г. После революции здание в переулке Шевченко было национализировано и отдано под архив Южно-Уральской железной дороги. Возвращён общине лишь в 1993г. На данный момент здесь действует синагога, общественный центр и кошерная миква.

Хорошо, что сохраняются и уважаются культурные ценности определенных наций и общностей, красивое здание, на тихом месте. Есть тут синагога. Все очень интересно.
