This is a small complex with several stops including museum, gift shop, garage and the lighthouse itself. The setting is very nice. The admission is quite reasonable and one can stroll the area at his/her leisure. This is worth an hour or more of your...More

Make sure you see the 1923 Chrysler in the garage part of the museum! The lighthouse tour is very interesting, if you are looking for some indoor entertainment on a rainy day. Otherwise - it's back to the beaches and rock hounding!

Excellent museum exhibits of life at this lighthouse back in the 1800’s. Set in a beautiful location, it is well worth a visit. Cost was $5 per person, very reasonable. There are 4 buildings to tour plus a small gift shop.

A rare working Coast Guard Lighthouse fully open to tourists. Well, the automated Coast Guard/Navy control room isn't open of course, and to gaze out the towers of lighthouses I think you either have to buy one or visit non-working restorations, but whole rest of...More

If you "collect" lighthouses, this is a must for a visit. It's open to the public, has indoor and outdoor exhibits as such places usually do, and has stunning views of the lake and shore nearby.

The history behind all of it is very interesting. The grounds and museum are free to go into, the lighthouse does cost you money to climb. The man who greets you is very nice and loves to talk about your travels. When he says million...More

Beautifully preserved buildings filled with memorabilia and books about Lake Superior and the history of the Eagle Harbor Lighthouse. A wonderful informed tour guide inside the lighthouse told of life and winters here. Pictures of the area in winter.

It sits on fairly good sized park grounds and I saw no signs prohibiting pets. Indoors in the museum and historical buildings I am uncertain but generally a pet friendly area.
