While on visit in the Gold Coast Feb 2020. I planned an afternoon stroll to take my wife and son to this place. After finding it in Trip Advisor seems like a good place for family activity from the reviews. The place was generally okay
I would have given it a higher rating but i just have to settle for a 2 star this time due to the fact that the place was full of mosquitos. My 2 year old toddler was repeatedly bitten resulted in rashes around his body

The parkland that stretch some distance along the waterfront have recently been upgraded with more shelters with tables and seating. There is also a good wide walking path and a swimming enclosure and toilet block. It it is very close to the restaurants and take away food shops and has a pontoon system if you come by boat. On some Sunday mornings there is also a food and craft market which starts early and peters out around midday.

Separate little play areas for the kids, lots of room for picnics, BBQs. Beautiful setting on the water. Swimming area roped off with a beach. Tree shade everywhere. A lovely walk along the front too.
The ambience is peaceful, and inviting. It is well maintained and worth the visit. Just let ver the road a range of take away cafes and restaurants, as there is a small shopping precinct just around the corner...
Parking is not too bad either considering a lot of areas like this are lousy.

Visited on Wednesday 2nd November, it was late morning with plenty of people enjoying the parklands, mainly mums with small kids. Good to see everybody out enjoying this restful place.

Located next to a small village, (paradise point shops), within the broad water, this green space is one of the nicest parks on the coast, it is very popular with locals and visitors alike especially on weekends, there is a huge play area for the kids as well as BBQ facilities under cover, excellent, walking to be had on a paved broad-walk.

Paradise Point Park is one of the best. Plenty of shaded areas, walking and jogging paths. Pet friendly. Right on the still waters of the Broadwater. BBQs available and hot water too. Love it.

Lots of families come here for birthday parties, Barbecues or just the playgrounds. Its an excellent spot just over the road from cafes , restaurants and ice cream shops.
The electric barbecues carefree, but as we found you need to be early on the weekend for those.fabulous walk-up and down the foreshore and a sheltered swimming area.
Its a great spot and a credit to the Gold Coast City Council

Great place for families! Lots have already heard! Safe, friendly! Has swimming area off the Broadwater! Playgrounds for the kids, take away all places across the road, as well as restaurants and coffee shops! Walking and biking paths along the water! Something for everyone!

Our 4 year old loved it here night and day. It is clear to see why families utilise the outdoor BBQs!

What is the proposed plans for the work being done at Paradise Point upgrade stage 2? I have tried to find the information myself with no luck.
Written July 25, 2017
Some brief info here;
ww.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/council/paradise-point-broadwater-parklands-stages-1-2-2351.html
Stage Two
Purpose
Paradise Point Esplanade Park was originally considered a local park patronised mainly by nearby residents and locals. In more recent years its popularity has grown and visitation now originates from a far wider catchment.
Council has commissioned a consultant to carry out a Master Plan for the area. This design reflects the feedback received from the local community through questionnaire responses and public presentations. The Plan will be provided to Council later in the year for a final decision and if endorsed, it will be placed on public display as a completed Master Plan.
Background information
The park's more recent popularity has been due to embellishments (i.e. small stage, new toilets, improved event space, foreshore improvements including swimming enclosure, conducting of markets and more recently live stage entertainment.
This has further led to the site receiving Whole of City funding and its inclusion in Council's 10 year plan. Developer contributions and proposed Divisional Allocations are also set aside for the area.
The Master Plan has identified existing pathway and park facilities for upgrade or improvement. Considerations have included:
picnic facilities
shade structures
toilet facilities
pedestrian and bike links
catering to the needs of community groups
extent of boardwalks
event needs
swimming facilities
playgrounds

What time is best to go to this park and get a BBQ spot before they fill up?
Written October 14, 2015
Id get down there about 7am to bag a good spot. Start decorating the area with streamers, balloons, chairs etc then everyone can see that the spot is taken. Its become very popular to celebrate birthdays etc in waterfront parks. Its cost effective and fun. Have a great day.
