Spahats Creek Falls are situated just a 10 minute drive from Clearwater, the carpark is big so we had no problem parking.
The falls are only a few minutes walk from the carpark. This was a very easy walk, and no effort was required.
We were not expecting such stunning scenery, beautiful!
If in Clearwater do not miss these falls.

Spahats is one of the first falls tourists encounter coming into the park. During the off season it’s a nice snowshoe hike (1km) in, during the on season the falls are about a 5 minute walk from the parking lot. Great views, safe (just don’t go over the fences; every year someone does/tries and *splat*) great groomed trails.

Maybe it just took me by surprise as I wasn’t paying attention to our elevation on the drive up, but as we walked down the path to this waterfall the found fell away and we were suddenly on the edge of an amazing canyon. I can’t remember the last time I had a “wtf” moment prior to this, but it was certainly what I was thinking when I came upon this waterfall on a 300 metre cliff face. Myself and my entire family loved it. Highly recommend and just a 5 minute walk from the parking area.

I'd read that Helmcken Falls was the highlight of Wells Grey. But Spahat was a way more impressive visit for us.
The falls themselves aren't as tall, and you aren't as close to them as at Helmcken. But the vista, especially with the lookout is really amazing.
If you're driving through and have an extra 45 minutes to drive up, don't miss this. It was easily the most impressive falls we saw in the Rockies.

Easy drive to large parking lot, short walk to the falls and incredible all around. It can get busy so prepare to have to be a bit pushy to get a good look or picture, everyone else is. Other than that my kids loved it too!

This fall is similar to the Helmcken Falls except in a smaller scale. I very like how the water came out of the rock. The falls would look a lot more powerful if there were more water flow. Walk further down from the viewing deck. Behind the fall, is the full view of the Spahat creek.
We parked off the Valley Road parking and walked through a 0.7km medium level trail. There are couple viewing spots on the Clearwater valley.

Quite close to Clearwater and therefore also suitable for a short trip. The waterfall is easily reached from the parking lot. Well suited for a first impression of the many waterfalls lying in the PP.

All the falls on the road north from Clearwater are worth a visit. Spahats is easy to miss as it's the first one you'll encounter, and just a short jaunt off the highway. Unusual outpouring of water from a cavelike centre. Short hike, gets a bit soggy after rain.

Great waterfall. Super convenient from the parking lot. The path isn't ENTIRELY flat... but it is only a 5 minute easy walk!

Does anyone know the best time of day (light on the falls) to take a photo of Spahat Falls? Thanks
