About Interior Whitewater Expeditions - Day Tours
With 37 years of experience rafting on some of the most powerful rivers in the British Columbia interior, IWE is able to provide unmatched multi-sport excursions to people of all ages. Personal attention, smaller groups and knowledgeable, capable staff who exceed provincial safety guidelines are reasons IWE has set itself apart in the river rafting industry in Canada. Of course there’s the trips, too, and they’re unparalleled. IWE has developed a group of adventure experiences that will excite and challenge you. But you don’t have to be an adrenaline-charged extremist to enjoy the ride. Our whitewater trips are designed for all levels - from the river rookies to the seasoned rafters - and safety guidelines are stressed and demonstrated before every trip leaves IWE headquarters. In 2012 we became part of Tourism Canada’s “Signature Experience” collection of companies that showcase Canada to tourists locally and abroad and offer them a “Once in a Lifetime” opportunity while in Canada.

We visited on a whim in June, our hike not being possible due to bear activity. They accommodated us on short notice and prepped us really well. You need wetsuit, fleece, splash top and old trainers, but these are all provided. There was more standing and walking around than I'd expected, but the rafting itself was great and the staff were brilliant. The scenery was beautiful, and we even spotted a baby black bear on the bank. We got to jump in the river at the end, which was fun but extremely cold! A great evening and so glad we did it.

Awesome, we went in late June and river was running really well, plenty of water going over the rapids. The guides were amusing, informative and friendly. The trip was a mix go grade 2 to 4 rapids, getting very bumpy and wet on the way down. We had to disembark and walk for about 1km as there are some grade 6 rapids which you cannot go down. the guide showed these to use and they were breath taking. I wouldn't like to go down those. Water temperature was cold but not freezing, the water from clearwater lake gets warmed as it goes shallow before the rive runs.

My (much older) Father and I enjoyed this afternoon out! The rapids were a bit tamer than I expected but Travis made up for them - an excellent guide with a super sense of humour. Dad enjoyed being able to jump out and float down part of the river. I had a go at guiding the raft (not sure it made much difference!). Despite me being very nervous at the start (having hated rafting the last time I did it 20 years ago or so) I had a great time and wasn't nervous in the slightest - felt like I was in very safe and capable hands! Keep up the great work guys!

Great experience for my first rafting tour. A couple of challenging parts but good for beginners, nice crew and good instructions! We have seen Bold Eagles. Recommendation!
