We tell great stories. We can explain how Creston got its wacky time zone. We can tell you about the steamship that became a tractor (sort of), the first airplane to land in Creston, and the teacher who refused to be fired. Speaking of "great" stories, there's "The Great Railway Race" and the "Great Creston Bank Robbery." And have you heard the one about the imaginary student in Grade Thirteen? Really, we're not making this up. Why would we? Truth is so much better than fiction. We can even help you tell the greatest story of all: your own. So come on in. After all, there's no time like the present to discover the past.

The Museum is great for anyone to go visit, except not all buildings are handicap accessible. The Staff knows their stuff, and the guided tour is very informative! Many neat artifacts that were preserved and restored.

Hi! Thanks for your feedback - we always like to hear our visitors enjoy their experience here. It is unfortunate that not everything is handicap accessible - one drawback to having a museum in a non-purpose built building - but I am glad you enjoyed everything you were able to see. More

WOW only $4 for a senior to view the whole place, so many interesting things from the past, including many items used in the Creston Valley to do with fruit growing and harvesting. Also the local logging industry. A wonderful model train display. It takes several hours to complete the tour of the whole facility. If you have an afternoon,... More

There are several buildings here to be explored, and there is a guide to walk you through. Unfortunately, we prefer to explore slowly on our own, rather than listen to a dry, prepared speech. Overall, the experience was just, "meh". It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. The model railroad was both lovely and the highlight. There was a nice... More

I stopped by on a Wednesday afternoon and was greeted by enthusiastic staff immediately! The tour itself was inexpensive and a good length. Lots of things to look at, but sometimes we rushed passed things so I couldn't ask questions. The staff was friendly and made the history of Creston fun! I learned a lot.

My sons & myself visited the museum this week. We were pleasantly surprised by the interesting buildings and stone work. I loved the combination of indoor and outdoor displays. The old school house is in original condition. And there are picnic tables to enjoy a family luncheon. Summer students guide you around & provide interesting anecdotes about the area.

We really enjoyed visiting this museum with our toddler. Much bigger than we expected! We were toured around by a young man who worked there- he was very friendly, told us some interesting things, and went along with our "toddler pace" patiently! We also wandered around outside on our own and enjoyed looking at all the old farm equipment. We... More

A great place to visit and find out all about the Creston valley from day one to today. It also has really cool buildings fron areas around the valley as well as a great train room of life in Creston. A travel back in time.
