We went there to have a nice walk with a bit of birdwatching. This was day one of duck hunting in the area so the ducks seemed a bit skittish though there's no hunting here but there is nearby. There were not many birds around this day and it was explained to us they expected more shortly so I guess we just hit a slow period. There needs to be a bit more signage and distance markers as our hike was a little bit longer than anticipated. Wonderful place and late in the season there are no bugs about!

The day camps for kids are fun & educational. They teach them all about the plants and animals around them by hiking around the grounds. We saw newborn baby birds in their nests chirping with their mouths wide open for their mama to feed them, they were so cute!

The discovery center had a bunch of walking trails along the wet lands. We saw tons of wildlife, including: a blue heron, wild turtles, snakes (not poisonous of course), mice, other beautiful birds etc. The trail was really nice. We just did a big loop around the area, was about 3km. There was also a wildlife canoe tour! It was very windy on the day we went so it was a tough ride but I still really enjoyed the hour trip. Our guide showed us a lot of cool plant life around the marsh and taught us many things about the ecosystem there and the animals.

Our guide was very knowledgeable about the wildlife area we were paddling in and provided confidence in his abilities to keep us safe and get us back to the dock after our hour long tour. It was over 30 degrees at the time of day that we were touring so we didn't see very much wildlife but it was still very worthwhile.
