Touring the region and decided to make a quick stop at this little winery in Creston. A hidden gem. Beautiful location on hillside, wrap a round tree shaded patio overlooking scenic hills and vineyards. Tasting was informative and fun with other guests and winery staff enjoying and sharing impressions of favourite wines on offer. Small select menu but very tasty... More

Although the the winery is at the end of a road that turns dirt, it makes it even more of a hidden gem in the Creston Valley. The owners are very hands-on, with one running the wind shop and food establishment, and the other working in the winery/vineyard. The tours are given on the weekends in July and August, by... More

Stopped in Jul 16 for a tasting. We were greeted by a lady who advised us to grab a table if we were looking for a tasting and when a bar came available she would grab us. We tried all the wines available and WOW. With the Ortega and the kootenay crush being our favorites. With friendly staff and food... More

My husband and I are new to visiting wineries and doing taste testing. The woman helping us was very informative and described the tastes and flavours we should be looking for in every wine sample she poured for us. We loved their wine. We ended up buying a whole case.

Stopped in Creston for the first time and decided to check out the local wineries. Tried two and Skimmerhorn was our favourite and a more enjoyable experience than many we visited in the Okanagan. The winery offered 10 tastings with great explantion of each wine by a lady knowledgable and enthusiastic about the wines, all offered in a neat tasting... More

My wife, grandchildren and I stopped here while visiting Creston recently. We tasted a few wines and then took some wine out to the deck. We lounged under the trees and enjoyed our wine while relaxing at our table. It was a nice afternoon. We recommend it.

We drove there on Sunday morning, the Lady in charge was very welcoming. The place is so beautiful. She helped us by genuinely explaining about different flavours and teaching us about wine etiquette. We roamed around through there yard. We went looking for a tour but the tour only begins in the summer. Worth visiting. Wines are really good and... More

As usual we had a wonderful experience at Skimmerhorn Winery. Staff were friendly and informative. Again their wines were wonderful. Our favorites, Autumn Tryst and Ortaga were worth the trip from Saskatchewan. Thanks Skimmerhorn!

I tasted their reds, and found them interesting but not compelling. I thought the two blends needed some time in the bottle before the two grapes would mesh. I hope to return when their pinot noir is released next year. The setting is gorgeous (unfortunately quite smokey right now).

This winery has a memorable view of the Creston area. The wines aren't so bad either. It's unfortunate that the bistro is closed. Otherwise it is a must see when in creston. Enjoy the tasting bar while you're there.
