The view is worth the visit

I love visiting this place for the view and the tasting bar. There is a good selection of wines to try, and you will be hard pressed not to walk without at least one bottle.

We happened upon the Skimmerhorn Winery. What a nice tasting experience! Just right, informative but not snotty. We are not wine fanatics, but love to experience hometown flavors and products. This Winery experience was perfect for us.

We started our BC wine tours here at the Skimmerhorn - an excellent beginning. The whites were delicious, and the apple pie dessert wine is a special treat. We were in Creston after the "Season" so the restaurant was closed, but the tasting bar staff was very helpful and made our visit a great one. We'll definitely be back!

We tasted Skimmerhorn wine while dining at Ainsworth Hot Springs. Drove to Creston and fortunately caught them before they closed.the wine is exceptional. Great tasting experience. The owner was very knowledgeable. We left with a case of assorted wines and a oak wine barrel in next to new condition. Only drawback was no tapas (As they advertise on website) due... More

Currently on winter hours and are closed monday & tuesday. Located a couple of miles from town, they have limited parking available, especially for full size dually pick-up trucks. The views are amazing and the tasting room is spectacular, with solid wood flooring and solid wood tables. Outside they have a patio on 2 sides of the building. Staff were... More

After hearing good reports from friends, decided to stop in on way home from Cranbrook. Off season for tours, but wine tasting bar open. The owner was very knowledgeable and accommodating with our limited wine experience. Didn't stop for the tapas, but sampled all the whites and table reds. Very good wine, purchased 8 bottles.

My friends and I shared great wine and tapas on a late summer's eve recently. After a complete tasting of skimmerhorn's wine we floated to our patio table to enjoy some excellent tapas and more wine of course. Very friendly people and a great scenic view completed a memorable experience.

Having done many Okanagan wineries you will be pleasantly surprised with the quality and range of wines. Great whites, I found the Reds a bit sweet for my palate- and the Apple Pie dessert wine was exceptional!!! Cheese plates from a local cheese maker are available to sit on the shaded deck to enjoy a spectacular view of the Skimmerhorn... More
