Nice overview with a lot of cars, machines and other stuff from the period the Alaska Hwy was build. It gives a good impression and provides information about the period and the people working on the highway.

Stopped early in the morning before the buildings were open. Walked around the vehicles parked everywhere outside. This collection is so cool. What a great accumulation of items related to the Alaska highway and local life in Fort Nelson. I will be driving back to...More

This museum is actually a collection of a few buildings , with a main museum. The displays are various and numerous. What a great wildlife display! Cool t-shirts, too.

The museum is what it definitely is. Over 20 cars were either restored or in the process of being restored with one older gentleman heading it up who has car restoration as his passion. That was just part of the museum. A tremendous collection of...More

It’s really worth to stop in this museum because through the exposition you can really get the feeling about the past time. You can walk the houses and see the things exactly how they were before. It’s really nicely done and I enjoyed it here...More

What a great, motley collection of ordinary items that together constitute an interesting look at post colonial life. The tour guides are fun!

A great place to stop on the Alaska Highway. Tons of history and heritage on display, with several buildings full of amazing artifacts and photographs. Even more interesting is the huge collection of classic cars, trucks, equipment, etc. at the museum.

Just visited several museums in the Yukon and Alaska and this one was the best by far. Lots inside and out. You could spend hours here. They have lots of buildings to go thru including an antique vehicle shop you shouldn't miss.

I was told by a friend to stop here on our Northern Circle route. He was certainly correct. It is full of interesting artifacts, cars, trucks, etc etc. Any age group would find something of interest.
