For us it's magical. We have a family cottage on another lake in the Kawarthas but opt to spend a couple weeks here every year or at worst get in a long weekend. We will do Lake Muskoka or mostly Lake Rosseau as we love...More
Decided to experience this cruise which heads down the Muskoka River into Lake Muskoka. The commentary aboard was very interesting and quite a bit of history of the area was pointed out to us. Lunch can be booked, however, we were not interested in availing...More

We enjoyed a beautiful afternoon walking the wharf today and just know how fortunate we are to be living in such a beautiful place!
We often don’t really see the beauty in our backyard, but today we’re thankful.❤️
I live in Bracebridge and I frequent on Lake Muskoka in my boat most every weekend, to enjoy every possible aspect of beauty, nature and see the many cottages of both the old Muskoka and the rich and famous. I never tire of boating and...More

Purchase a back roads map book from Backroad Mapbooks - it will prove invaluable. The books are available online in pdf form or in local stores. You'll need the Cottage Country one. Just about all the roads in the area are interesting. Most show evidence of being carved out of the rock and there are lots of opportunities for photography or just cruising around at random. Picnic spots abound - they're also shown on the maps, as are scenic view points. Hope this helps.

Montreal area in June - Where to go/ what to do? (4 Replies)
Hi everyone. We have been to Canada once before and loved it; we visited Toronto, Collingwood, Huntsville, Barrie and back to Toronto. This time, we'll be travelling to the Montreal area, as we want to go to the Canadian Grand Prix, first weekend in June. After that, we're looking for some inspiration, as to where to go to see the real Canada. We will only spend about 3 days in Montreal and then want to go out and about and see other interesting places in the area. We will probably hire a...More
