So much to see and do. Lake Muskoka connects to two larger lakes via locks so you can boat for days. Take a trip on Canada's losers steam ship from Gravenhurst wharf , bring your own boat to one of the many Marian's or rent so many options. Public beaches and walking trails all around. A must visit in beautiful... More

We stayed for three days in Gravenhurst, which was plenty. The best city on the lake was Bala, with a great Farmer's market and a top infrasructure (bakery, butcher, art stores) for such a small town. We swam in the lake at the Gravenhurst beach (supervised) and near the gold course (very, very shallow). The water was nice. There are... More

We visited friends on Lake Muskoka. The lake was so clean and beautiful. We liked it so much we are thinking of getting a cabin next year.

If you can, be sure to get out on the water when you are in this area. It is beautiful and if you aren't from the area it was particularly enjoyable to see what Ontario cottage country is all about.

I am from Texas and I have to admit that we have nothing like this in our great state! The waters are abundant and they are navigable for hundreds of miles. There are lovely cottages and boathouses lining the shores that have been single family owned for decades! There is a true love for the waters in Ontario and the... More

As an Aussie, the thought of jumping off a pier without fear of sharks is very tempting. We have friends here with a cottage on the lake so we are here for a couple of weeks boating, eating and swimming. The lake is cool for us and the weather changeable however the landscapes and sunsets are magnificent. The local town... More

1) Largest of the numerous granite based lakes in Muskoka, with very long vistas in endless bays to explore. 2) Passing through the locks in Port Carling to Lake Rosseau is a neat experience for adults and children. 3) 8-10 dining destinations on Lake Muskoka with free docking. Enjoy

The white-covered lake still looked amazing, it glistens as the sun reflects on it. Appreciating this view during winter time, can't help but adore God's creation.

Hop on one of the steamships that sail from Muskoka Wharf and sail past some amazing cottages along "Millionaires Mile". In the evening, stroll along the boardwalk with a hand scooped cone and take in a spectacular, Muskoka sunset. Doesn't get better than this.

A beautiful lakeside oasis. Stayed at the Lakes last year, i loved the peace and serenity. Lovely tea shop nearby and lots of good eating places. A must see place to visit
