We were a group of eight with two guides. We spent a fabulous day kayaking around the Blue Rocks and surrounding islands. We stopped for a nice lunch on one of the small islands at the halfway point. For most of the day I was paddling near Fin, one of the guides and he had a wealth of information about... More

You pull up to a quaint sleepy location with free parking facilities ,toilet and changing area. There is a warm welcome from the staff with an introduction to the rest of your group. The equipment is laid out ready for you and is explained in easy to understand jargon of what it is and what it's for and more importantly what... We booked a paddle with Pleasant Paddling in mid - August and were led by Finn on a beautiful trip through Blue Rocks. The scenery was breathtaking and the geological history of the area was informative and interesting. We are seasoned kayakers and know the safety basics, but it was comforting to see the care taken with the less experienced... More

Beautiful place!!! Kayaking in Blue Rocks is a must when traveling to Nova Scotia. You will not be disappointed. The scenery is amazing and the guided tour will give you lots of information about the area. We saw a bald eagle on our paddle. Thank you Jenn and Karl for an amazing day!!!!

We had a great time. Both my husband and I were first time sea paddlers. The instructions were clear and fun and the instructors were knowledgeable. The area is magnificent and two hours went by very quickly. Great work guys, keep it up!

Staff were friendly, experienced and knowledgeable and we enjoyed learning about kayaking and the history of the rocks and surrounding area including seeing the seals. Even got to jump in for a swim at the break time. Felt safe at all times. Guides made sure slower kayakers were looked after. Snacks were great! All in all a great experience!

My wife and I planned a vacation specifically for kayaking in Nova Scotia. We booked the kayaks from Pleasant Paddling the night before and took off on our own when their morning tour returned. Quality kayaks well fitted. Blue Rocks was perfect - an excellent setting. Paddling can be as protected or as open as you want. The trip can... More

Last year we did the Ovens tour (see previous review) and this year along with 3 other couples we booked Blue Rocks. This time we were led by Carl and Finn who were super patient with our group. The water was a bit rough so we were taken on a route that would ensure that the novices among us would... More

This kayak launch site is great either as part of one the Pleasant Paddling tours or just a single rental. Lots of sea life: cormorants, herons, kingfishers. Jen was very helpful staffer. Suggest the three hour paddle Blue Rocks thru Tanners Paddage to Saw Pit Park wharf. Ck the tides to figure out from which direction to go as the area... More
