Last year we did the Ovens tour (see previous review) and this year along with 3 other couples we booked Blue Rocks. This time we were led by Carl and Finn who were super patient with our group. The water was a bit rough so we were taken on a route that would ensure that the novices among us would... More

From initial booking to the end of the trip Karl and his team delivered a top notch, fun, and memorable experience. Booking The staff that took my booking were patient, knowledgeable, and accommodating in taking my booking over the phone at short notice. It is clear that they have high quality staff and smooth operations. I elected for the morning... More

This was absolutely my favourite thing I did on my entire trip of the Maritimes. We chose to do the Sunset Paddle and we went on a day where there was no wind at all. The water was like glass! I highly recommend going at sunset, it is just beautiful and still. We paddled around Blue Rocks, which is a... More

My young daughter and I were in a tandem for the four hour guided tour paddle. Carl was our guide. He was fantastic - very engaging, and knowledgeable. At the midway stop, he delighted the younger paddlers with wild blueberry exploration, shell collecting and shell whistling.

We had a great time!! There were 6 of us going out for a sunset kayak under Jeff's watchful eye. The area was beautiful and we paddled out to the lighthouse. It had been easy to make reservations online and the equipment was first rate. We did a lot of fun things on this week-long trip, but agreed that this... More

I took the four hour guided paddle. It was a quality experience. The kayaks were good quality, the guides took care to tell us how to sit and how to paddle and the place we went to was beautiful. You are paddling among tiny little islands. It was just lovely. I felt I got my money's worth and more.

This was our first time kayaking. I've always wanted to try it, but have been nervous to. Our friends suggested Pleasant Paddling and so glad we took them up on their suggestion. We are a family of 3 (2 adults and my 17 year old son). We booked the 2pm tour to Blue Rocks which takes 3 hours. We spent... More

My wife found this little kayak guided trip and were amazed. Finn and David were amazing, being our first time kayaking they made sure everyone was taken care of but still allowed use to figure out how to do things.

Pleasant Paddling is an excellent outfit for kayaking in Nova Scotia. We stumbled upon this place as we were driving the tiny roads of the South Coast. We happened to drive all the way out to the tiny community of Blue Rocks and chatted with the guides. Just standing on shore you could tell that it would be a great... More

We purchased the Four-hour kayaking tour to see the seals. Our two guides, Carl and David, were terrific. Not only did they make everyone feel comfortable and ensure all of us were properly situated in our kayaks, but they engaged us in conversation all along the way. They clearly were not only interested in fully informing us on the local... More
