I cannot imagine what the Peace River is like in the summer but right now it is incredible to see it frozen solid, huge slabs of ice, frozen "waves" and beautiful colour changes as the light changes from dawn to dusk. Photography dream. You can...More

The area around this town is relaxing, noce views of the river as you drive thru. Lots of plaques throughout the town describing the history of Peace River.

Peace River is pretty in the summer, winter not so much. Be prepared for 2 years of construction on the new bridge and water and sewer line repairs.

Peace River to me is like a safe haven. The luxurious scenery and the diversity of the people therein adds to its charm. Away from the city yet a little town with everything you need in it
