I recently attended a show at Le Patriote. The reservation was very easy and the staff very accommodating and friendly. There is ample parking.
While the theatre is fairly old there is very good acoustic.
.Apparently Le Patriote is soon to be closed for a well deserved full renovation.

Hadn't been in a while but the place is still as much fun as I remembered it to be. The acoustic has been enhanced to suit more modern ears and it's surprisingly good with no echo or reverberations. Went to see a Robert Charlebois concert a little while back. He was in excellent form singing a lot of his old standards with the audience happily jumping in to sing along with him. Seats are a little cramped and not overly comfortable but that's part of the charm. If one changes a place too much it starts to lose its original appeal.

As many tourists to Quebec and Laurentian area are English speaking, it should be known this place caters to French speaking tourists, so there are really no performances that are inclusive of Anglophones unless it is a concert and you don’t care to understand.
It is a pity that Quebec is so Anglophobic when the rest of the world tries to accommodate. Most people around the world have some understanding of English and it would be nice that once in a while they could be more understanding of tourists which would be helpful to the economy in the area as it is starting to get depressed looking
