This is a beautiful park. Loved walking through the green spaces. Children’s playground looked like it had lots of fun equipment. Watching the magnificent sunsets from the park and pier is spectacular. City of Gatineau runs many free activities. The fireworks display was excellent and we watched it from a boat in the water. The bicycle path is lovely and we road on both sides of the Ottawa River crossing 2 bridges for a 3 hour round trip passing rapids and parliament.
The only disappointment was that swimming at the large sandy beach was not possible the whole week we were visiting due to unsafe levels of bacteria in the water. Some people ignored the warnings and were swimming outside of the marked area. It is good that the water is tested on a regular basis, but be aware that closures can happen. All the other beaches in the vicinity were open.

This "little" park is great. A lot of play structures for the kids, picnic tables, big supervised beach that is great for wading cause it doesn't get too deep.
Bicycle path runs right through it so great for running, cycling and rollerblading.
Area is perfect for kiteboarding on windy days. There's even a little sailing school that I believe also has rentals.
Marina has a restaurant with a huge patio.
In the winter, when the river is frozen, there are tons of ice-fishing shacks on the ice and even some folks braving the cold to kiteboard on the ice.
Beautiful sunsets in the summer, perfect for a romantic walk.

In the Aylmer sector of Gatineau.
Nice Beach, kids play structures, baseball park over a little hill. Great bike path, in summer it has a little lunch counter, also they are rebuilding the resto. It has a fine marina, and you can fish from the sides of it. Picnic tables around most of it. They do close a large part of it for St Jean Baptist weekend, be aware they have charges to pay on those days

Love this park. Offers many activities for the whole family, beach, playground and seasonal acrivities such as bootcamps, yoga (I teach on Tuesdays), Tai Chi, and more. Sunsets are the most beautiful! In Winter people can do snowshoeing, ice fishing, sliding for toddlers. You will enjoy it! :)

Large beach area and lots of green space. Limited number of picnic tables but otherwise very spacious, and easy parking on adjacent streets.

Beautiful area to relax with a good coffee and friends. Take in the nice view and take beautiful pictures. Lots of geese droppings though but it's all part of being near the water. If you choose, take in the breathtaking sunsets. Wonderful place

Aylmer is the Western part of Gatineau, where you will find Des Cèdres Park along the Outaouais/Ottawa river where it widdens. You will see many wind surfers, sail boats and more at the Aylmer Marina. There is a beach and many picnic tables for family outdoor activities. A very spacious place to unwind.

Perfect for a stroll, jogging, cycling near the river front, perfect to go for a swim or to just lounge around, have a pic-nic under the trees.
