A couple of the Gatineau park trails converge to the north-east corner of Meech lake, so worth a visit even in winter (the trails are groomed also for snow-shoes). In summer, supposing you carry an inflatable dinghy (teamwork), nobody's to stop you inflating it and...More

Went here for a family picnic while visiting Ottawa. Beautiful little beach with a few picnic tables. Lots of people bbqing and having fun on a Saturday night. There were signs warning of "swimmer's itch" which was a little off-putting - I stayed on land...More

Granted it was a holiday weekend when I visited the lake and therefore it was a little busy. I loved floating on the lake but it was a little windy. Excellent get away and I stopped at the local smokehouse and got smoked salmon and...More

I've been going to this lake to swim for years. There is a parking fee but, if you like cycling you can save on that. The water is clean and is fun if you like swimming far out.

Taking a drive around the lake was beautiful. As the passenger, I got to enjoy the view along the way. However, the road surface is showing the damage of too many winters, and my driver had his work cut out for him. Quite a few...More

Went for a casual drive through hoping to see the site of the 1980's Meech Lake Accord. Didn't really know where to look and didn't see any signs to commemorate it. It is a nice drive along the lake.
