OK, I admit it. This all began as a pit stop but turned into so much more. First the flower gardens at the visitor center and the statue of Billy Barker was inviting. Yes, there was loads of info but the best part was the museum. There were so many artifacts including household items, forestry, mining and farming equipment depicting early life of the Cariboo. Learned a lot. Thanks.

Located just off Hwy 97 at the edge of downtown, it has ample off-street parking. Out front they have a well tended rose and flower gardens and the visitor centre is located in a large park, which has a playground, water/spray park and ball diamond.

While the building isn't as impressive as Williams Lake, we found the staff extremely pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable of the local attractions.

The museum is also accessed from this facility.

The ladies in the visitor centre were very helpful in their advice on what to do on foot in Quesnel. Advised us on what to see in town and were we could walk on trails close to the city.

Very helpful staff as we had been travelling with our camper and they gave us directions to where we could park our truck and camper while we looked around Quesnel. They had postcards for sale at a good price so I didn't have to worry about looking any other place for some.

We stopped at the info center, and enjoyed the impressive lawns and gardens good washroom facilities were open even after the info center was closed. There is a nice playground at the side, great for travel weary children!

Friendly staff. Variety of information to do with the town, local events. Also outer areas around the city. Many pamphlets and maps to help you find your way. Easy to access.

Quesnel is our "home town" even though we live quite a ways out of town. Finally made a stop here during the Billy Barker Days Celebrations. Was pretty impressed with the staff, and the help that was offered. They also have a nice little museum that has some fun bits to look at. Recommend a stop here!
