I don’t get what the fuss is about
It’s a warm outside pool which is next to a main road. When we went there was also a lot of building work going on so lots of drilling and hammering adding to the road noise. Not cheap to get in but you do get a free locker to put your stuff in. In the interests of balance my wife enjoyed it more than I did, she found the warm springs relaxing and spa like.

How about no cell phones in the pool??
Once they repair the cool pool I think this would be a better experience. With just the thermal pool I eventually became too warm. It was like sitting in a warm bath on a hot day, with dozens of strangers. Also I wish they’d implement a no-cellphone policy. It was absurd to see people IN the pool, taking video.

Perfect day in a near perfect venue.
Lovely, deep, canyon location. Well thought out modern facility. The cold pool is under renovations so kudos to the planners and construction team to allow the visitors to enjoy the venue under serene circumstances nevertheless.

    Nice Hot Springs--cool setting
Been here many years ago.....time to try it again. I love the setting against the natural mountain face. Was not too busy. Showers and lockers are very clean. No cool pool as it was under construction for an upgrade. Was nice to have the small cold plunge pool to use when the body temperature got too high..........only negative was no cool pool for the kids to use and yet admission was still full price.

We were in Radium for our annual trip the week of November 25, 2019 but unfortunately the pool was closed due to maintenance. So we decided to try the Faimont Hot Springs pools. The first afternoon we went down the pool was not very busy. It appears that they have done recent improvements to the shower rooms. The shower rooms were nice and clean with ample showers. They could use a few more benches inside for sitting on when putting on your shoes, etc (a couple higher ones would be nice for those of us that have bad knees). The lockers were very small for our winter coats, boots, towel bags, etc. The change cubicles were painfully small and no hooks to hang your bathing suit on when changing after being in the pool. Due to safety issues there was ice melt on the pool deck which was painful on our feet. The second time we went was in the evening after they reduce the admission price from $14.75 to around $8 and we lined up with all the other patrons waiting for the cheaper price. The pool was fairly busy but still enjoyable. Another cold day so ice melt on deck and the lifeguards stayed in the building watching from the window, even though it was fairly busy and there was no way they could see the whole pool with the steam and the "mountain" in the middle of the hot pool. We drove to Fairmont again the the Saturday (30th) for one last soak. We were extremely disappointed that there was no longer a Single Pass Entry option but we would need to buy a Day Pass ($21). There was no way we were going to pay $21 for an hour in the pool. We left and will NEVER return.

No where on the website does it say that you need to come 60 min before they close for last entry. We drove 5 hours out of our way. Into a 10 hour trip with a 10 month old. To come to the door at 7:02 pm and the doors are locked. Very thoroughly unimpressed. Maybe you should make sure it’s very apparent that you have to be here an hour before so you can go swimming till you guys actually close.

We went to Radium and stopped here for a few hours. Glad we did. We had to wait about 45 minutes due to capacity limits but it was worth the wait. Only $7 for an adult which includes a token for a locker. Both the cool pool, which is heated and the hot pool are clean and well maintained. There are lifeguards on duty at all times and they do a very good job. They are attentive and take their jobs seriously. The facilities were clean and well maintained as well. We had a great time and I would recommend stopping here if in the area. Free parking, snack bar, Spa and the staff is very nice and helpful. Looking forward to returning again.

As a family of 6 aged from 17-50, we had a very enjoyable morning at the springs. We drove the 1.5hr trip from Banff just to go to the Springs. Although it's a pool and not a natural rock formation in the wild, it was very enjoyable. It's large and has a hotter end and a slightly cooler other end. There is a cold plunge pool available and a "normal" swimming pool around the other side of the building. We arrived in time for the opening and it wasn't busy. By the time we left an hour and a half later it was much busier. It was entertaining watching the gorgeous goats with their babies running around the mountain rocks and cliffs. The Springs are very reasonably priced, clean and I have nothing negative to say. We did also visit Banff Upper hot springs and enjoyed Radium a lot more (bigger so less crowded)

We came for a late afternoon soak/swim and it was a nice experience. Lots of parking areas with a walkway under the highway so you don’t have to try and cross it.
Waited about 20 minutes to get in which wasn’t bad at all. Inside the facilities were clean and well maintained.
The water was very relaxing in both the warm and cool pool.
Not sure I’d come again as it is a hyped up attraction for a basic pool experience, but for the price (less than $10 for an adult entry), it was an affordable & enjoyable way to spend some time.

* Also - last entry is 7:00pm as they close at 8:00pm. And this is in fact stated on their website, unfortunately another reviewer couldn’t find this info.

The area immediately surrounding the hot springs is stunning. Our drive from the town lead us through a gorgeous canyon & past many Bighorn Sheep.

The hot springs themselves are simply pools. The views from the hot spring pool are amazing. I imagine in the winter the views eould be even more amazing. I visited during 35+ degree weather & the hot pool was hot! The cool pool was extremely warm as well. The cold plunge pool was very refreshing but people crowded it & used it as a place to sit & dip their feet. Unfortunately this blocked access.

The entry fee is very reasonable & includes a locker to safely store belongings. Change rooms were clean & there was a spinner to quickly dry bathing suits.

Glad I visited & had this experience but not sure I would visit again, particularly in the summer.

I’ve been to many hot pools and these ones are one of my faves. Leaves u feeling warm and fuzzy for sure. Free token for locker with admission. I always bring my own towel but u can rent some also. I always go around 7 pm and don’t find it too crowded. Masks not required while in the pool.

It looked like they were doing a lot of remodeling at the hot springs facility. Much of there was not open and much under construction yet they charged full price. Also, I felt it was not very hot for hot springs

You park a short walk away. There are 2 parking lots on either side of the road. Then you follow the walkway under the road to the main building to pay your entrance fee. It is bring your own towel but they will rent you one for $2.
Go downstairs to the change rooms. Lockers are available for free.
Then you just lounge around the large hot springs. We were there on Saturday before Thanksgiving and it was busy but not packed.
There is a “cold” pool as well with a slide and a small hot tub.

Would give this a 5 star review if we didn’t have a 2 hour wait to get in during COVID limits. Luckily it was a warmer Sunday afternoon. Love the facility, the hot pool was amazing and we enjoyed a family game of tag in the ‘cool pool’ and a few laps. This is an excellent facility that we enjoyed.

Fairmont Hot Springs has created a booking system for their hot pool and it is a must for Radium during winter weather during COVID times. The staff were amazing and we enjoyed our conversations with them.
