- jeanphiltMontreal, Canada15 contributionsGreatWe spent a day with our kids (3 and 5 years old) and they really liked it. We did pretty much everything but we had not enought time to do everything. I might return once a year. Compared activities like the Zoo or La Ronde, its more for kids around 2-8 years old. We went during the month of August and there was almost no wait time so it was much better than La Ronde or the Granby Zoo in that regard. Food was basic and activities were nice but I'm not sure I would return more than once a year because while there were enough activities for a full day, it was not that bigger nor that different from what we can find closer to home (south shore montreal).Visited August 2020Traveled with familyWritten August 27, 2020
- Jean-François TessierMontreal, Canada564 contributionsPretty fun place for childrenOpen all summer long but only open a couples of days in december, this is a must for Christmas/santa claus lovers! Not a big place, but everything is there! You got the main attraction Santa Claus sitting in a lovely cabin that make you feel like you're in the north pole. The Santa we met we really credible and funny/happy. He had two elf with him too. You have a lot of places to play for the children. That's what you want in a christmas town : places to play and have fun! Not museum.... The price is fair but could be consider high for certain cuz the village is pretty small.Visited December 2019Written January 14, 2020
- Yi LBrossard, Canada63 contributionsCute place for young kidsPerfect attraction for kids around 5 years old. When we arrived it was a little cold, but we can play with the train, the “car/tricycle”, the tubing, watch the animals and as it warms up we can hit the slides and wading pool! It can get too crowded at the slides, so it would be good the have a monitor to make sure the kids are taking turns. All the staffs are super friendly and the Jeremy’s Magic show was perfect for the kiddos. Lots of shaded picnic tables for our packed lunch. Great place for the price!Visited August 2020Traveled with familyWritten August 23, 2020

- Jack S1 contributionOut datedI went to the Santa Village Saturday morning, it's been over 10 years I haven't been since and I was turned off by its outdated appearance and staff. No innovation or renovations there. It was very over priced for what they offered. Adults and children payed full price of $18 per person offering no discount price for children. Worsted of all when the kids made there way up to see big old Santa I noticed that there Santa reeked with urine. I was appalled, thank heavens the children didn't notice that he smelled like a barn animal. It will be unfortunately my last time there to visit. Hopefully there will be a better replacement place to visit for Christmas time the next year.Thank you for taking the time to write to us. We truly appreciate every comment even those less than favorable. I remember vividly that on the day of your visit, the temperature made the terrain very muddy and the smell from the animals was present all around the Village. We are terribly sorry for that. But to imply that the smell was coming from the big guy himself ?!? It is just not true. As for the conditions of our installations, I would like to remind everyone that the Village is 63 years old. Most of our visitors appreciate the fact that we keep the vintage look intact. For both these reasons, I invite the readers of this review to use caution in its interpretation. - MothadoneMontreal, Canada14 contributionsGreat day trip for kids under 8I can't add much more to the already glowing reviews of this place (which is why we went) so I'll just make some points: -One hour from West Island Montreal door to door, probably the same from downtown or airport. -Easy to find, free parking -Staff is bilingual -$20 per person is very reasonable considering there are no extra charges once inside. -The whole place is very casual and relaxed. No one is trying to sell you anything, there's no annoying PA announcements or music blaring, staff is present but hardly noticeable. -One sign at Santa's house won me over and to me is representative of the whole park: "Feel free to take as many pictures as you'd like. If you don't have a camera, we'd be happy to do so for you at a reasonable cost." -Santa was 100% credible and very nice. He took my daughter's pacifiers (see their website about that) and she was super proud to give them up. -The park is easy to navigate, even with strollers, and is well laid out so it never feels busy. -The kids (girls 2.5 & 6) had fun at every activity/attraction and loved going from one to the next. -The pool is so shallow you can let the kids play on their own, with supervision of course. Lifeguard on duty even though the deepest part of the pool is knee-deep. -The water slides are short but fun for all ages and parents are allowed to go with their kids. -They have changing booths next to the pool which is great and plenty of bathrooms around the complex. -There are many eating areas available, vending machines for drinks and even a free microwave for heating up lunches/formula etc. I thought that was a really nice touch. -There is also a restaurant/cafeteria with reasonable prices if you don't bring food. There's also a gas station/depanneur right around the corner if you want to save some money and get snacks. They stamp your hand so you can exit and return any time. -The magic show has ample seating (you just sit on a large hill) and was really fun. It was in French but kids will still follow even if they don't understand. All in all, for $80 and a full day, we definitely got our money's worth and the kids loved it. We'll be going back next summer again. One suggestion I'd make is to have lockers for people to leave their backpacks or clothes while swimming. Only "complaint" is a warning to people over 6' tall: Watch your head in the IceHouse. It's a little indoor maze of plexiglass walls & mirrors but there are 2 braces that go overhead. There's red tape on them to warn you, but like me, you'll probably be watching your kids and walk right into them. I'm 6'2 and it knocked my hat off and hurt pretty good.Visited July 2015Traveled with familyWritten July 9, 2015

It's very traditional with lovely touches such as bubble machines, very cheery Elves and lots of Christmassy fun. You pay one price and you can pretty much go on everything, maybe you pay extra for a pony ride. There's water slides, tree houses, climbing walls, animals, bouncy castles. If it's fun it'll be here.Visited September 2015Written September 11, 2015

What struck me the most was that this facility is not your regular "tourist money gouging" place. Prices were very reasonable, for example we rented a sleigh for the day for $3.Visited December 2012Traveled with familyWritten December 11, 2012

An adult can't get in without children. But my wife and I were just curious to see, so they let us in (free) for a quick walk around.
Worth going with kids, for sure.

If your children are over eight years old, this is not the place for your family. If your children have been to Disney or other more modern theme parks, they will likely not be impressed by what Santa's Village has to offer. This place probably resonates best with those nostalgia types who may have visited as children some 30-40 years ago. Not much here but memories in cold storage.

Visited with three young children under age 4. They loved it so much, we had to drag them out at closing time. They could have stayed for a week. We were lucky to be there on a hot summer day. They played in the pools and the water slides. They had a few pony rides. They played in the ball pit, on the structures, went on the train ride, and of course the petting zoo area. We had lunch there, the usual Quebec style casse-croute hot dogs and grilled cheese. We saw Santa Claus too LOL, the kids got a kick out of that. It has changed a lot since i was a kid, I was very impressed with the facilities and the sheer amount of things to do.

Bonjour,
Malheureusement, non! Nous avions le droit il y a de ça quelques années, mais nos assureurs ne nous le permettent plus. À chaque année, je leur demande de reconsidérer leur décision. Nous allons peut-être y arriver un jour. Désolé!
