Beautiful area even though it is a spillway.

When I visited the falls, the water level was low because they were shutting it down for the winter. The area is beautiful but don't go in October, the water levels will be lower.

Very nice beautiful cascade like falls. Can enjoy the view without (hiking up) from the bottom too...!

The drive down the dirt road is worth the effort. The water flow is controlled by the dam so you can't be sure how much water is flowing. Have a wander up the stairs/path for a closer look. Covered picnic area if the weather is not good.

Easily accessible after a few miles down a dirt road. Climb up a few stairs for another vantage point. During our visit there was a slight mist spraying off the falls.

This particular falls doesn't do much for me. The water flow seems to be controlled by some sort of man made mechanism. Also, I don't find them to be particularly attractive. My best advice- skip these falls. There are better falls in Lake Superior Provincial Park.

This is a nice waterfall. Be sure to climb to the side of it to get views of the river. Getting to it was a bit of a fiasco for us as we took the Scenic High Falls road that goes past the dump and kept driving. Watch for the Magpie Scenic High Falls sign and not the green road... More

Stopped here after seeing a write up in a CAA travel book. Great place to stop and take a small hike up the side of the falls. Wonderful views. Very interesting plaques to read about the history of the falls. Nice place for a picnic under the shelter. I'm glad I passed by the Wawa Goose and came here.

A great discovery after hiking up the Magpie River from Lake Superior. The area by the falls is well-maintained as a park.

Just a quick detour off the highway. Drive a dirt road a couple miles, turn the corner and WOW! There it is. Short, easy hike to top of falls.
