The diversity of art found at the old schoolhouse is a delight. A wide assortment of art medium expressions are rotated frequently.

Various artists have studios in the schoolhouse, art classes are available and various activities are scheduled every month.

This is a free space to visit and take in the work of local artists.

We visited the gallery based on a recommendation and glad we did. Given the number of artists who contribute their work or are based here there is a very good and broad range of art to view and/or purchase, as well as the opportunity to speak with the artists about their work. The old schoolhouse provides a fine setting and the gift shop is well worth a visit

If you are looking for local arts & crafts then this should be on your shopping list. There are community events held here also. Just off of Memorial Ave across from Quality Foods in Qualicum Beach. A must place to visit for locals and visitors to the area.

What an amazing collection of art, with actual artists there showing how they achieve their success. We spent a long time browsing round all the diverse galleries in several rooms, all beautifully displayed.
There is a lovely shop to look around & our friend purchased an attractive handmade tea-cosy.

Not just an art gallery, but a place where you can watch some artists/artisans creating/completing their works: painters, weavers, pottery, etc.

The artists in their ateliers, the galley shows, the gift shop displays, and the musical presentations are all good for ones soul.

Access to the building, as well as vehicle parking, have been made easy, thanks to
co-operation between TOSH and the town of Qualicum Beach.

This old school house now converted to a beautiful art gallery changes displays often so you never know what to expect. What you get is art from some of the best west coast artists around. Friendly accommodating staff and lots of parking. There is no admission and it is a perfect base to park at and tour downtown Qualicum.

If you are visiting Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island a visit to this gem of a place is a must!
Run by mostly very dedicated volunteers this old school house which has been renovated but kept to its original design holds incredible new art work by mostly local artists in paintings, sculptures and other beautiful creations.
But for me personally the live performances,(Music On Sundays) held by a variety of local and international artists is why I visit this place on a regular basis.

We popped in with my 6 year old son, who was quite taken with the many glass/ceramic starfish. Other kid-friendly items included bookmarks and night lights. The lovely lady in the silver-smithing area gave him a piece of beach glass as a gift while we shopped the gorgeous silver jewelry. Lots of little nooks and crannies with various mediums in each section. Such wonderful people, and very reasonable prices!
