It is a lovely place to visit and see the beauty of cedars, native plants and rhododendrons! The gift shop has delights like fairies for fairy houses and seeds for planting at home. Don't miss tea or soup and scones in the Milner house. There are also plants for sale for your home garden.

These gardens are beautiful, not manicured but "tamed" rather than wild woodland. My old Mum was even able to take her walker all the way down to the house over the boardwalk. The view from the house is spectacular. Take time to stop and have tea with scones and Devon cream served by charming volunteers.

It was a bit of a rainy day when the sign caught our attention as we drove by. We decided to turn around and come back to see what it was all about. We were sure glad we did. Our walk through the beautiful estate was very relaxing and peaceful. It was topped off by a most delicious cup of... More

This is a lovely place to visit. Only $22 for a family of 4 as kids under 12 go free. We spent a few hours here. Volunteers are knowledgeable and friendly. Nice history associated with the estate Gardens and woodland are well cared for. Impressive. Tea room is lovely and cakes are nice. Well worth a visit

I was a bit surprised by the fee to come in to the gardens - $22.00 for the two of us, but I think it was worth it. We walked around the forest and gardens, which were breath-taking, and really liked the little plaques that explained things, as well as the submissions/assignments from the local school. They obviously have some... More

We visited the gardens and walked through both paths to get to and from the house. Soup and scones with tea at the house was delicious. We shared a couple of tastey desserts and had a fun visit. The volunteers who operate the restaurant were great fun too!

I was delighted to read about the Fairy Garden display June 23-26, 2016 in the local newspaper. It was brilliantly written and made a point of going first thing the first day in the morning. What a delightful idea! Stunning little pathways with hidden homes...quiet, fresh salt air with the smell of pine from the rain and damp forest surroundings.... More

This is what you’d call an English Woodland Garden. Un-landscaped for the most part. Quiet. Nice paths. Good bathroom facilities. Totally fenced into keep the zillions of deer out. Closes at 4PM so don't count on a twilight stroll.

What can I say? We had a lovely walk through the gardens and one can really appreciate all the hardwork that goes into this land and it is absolutely beautiful. Christmas time is extra special with the mini lights and xmas decorations. A must to visit when in town!
