It sounds like you had a great day with us! Thank you for your visit and your review. We do have an excellent staff. We love our animals and it shows :)

The aquarium is located beside the research station, and must have been created to answer "what do you do here?" Be sure to check the timetable for the Seal feeding, as that's one of the highlites of the place. There's great things for children to...More

Great observation! A few of our animals do come from the Huntsman research team, for example salmon, so we can talk about our excellent broodstock program. Most of the animals in the aquarium don't currently exist anywhere else on site, however. The Huntsman is so...More

I thought the price was a little high for what you see. I liked seeing the salmon being fed and hearing the history behind that. It seemed that the tub was too small for them but then again there was a lot of salmon. I...More

Thanks for your visit! Just for your information, we review our stocking densities and water quality regularly and are far surpassing any guidelines for excellent health-- that goes for all fish and our seals, of course. We also change our exhibits frequently-- in the last...More

This is a nice place for children to visit. It has touch tanks and an exploration area. They had already fed the seals so we did not see them.

The best part about the Huntsman Aquarium is the touch tank. Guests can touch starfish, crabs, sea cucumbers and the like in the large touch tank area. The remainder of the aquarium is fairly small and limited in what you will see - some large...More

Thanks so much for your visit and your review, and that is an excellent tip-- bring a change of clothes for your young explorers! We sure do see a lot of wet sleeves here from kids (of all ages) getting up close and personal with...More

Surprisingly nice small aquarium. Displays use bay water so don't expect crystal clear displays, but perfectly fine viewing of local species. Great graphic panels with local historic info.More

You're absolutely right, we use salt water right from the Bay of Fundy! If you are interested in how we clean and recirculate our water you can ask one of our interpreters, or sign up for a Behind the Scenes tour and get a close...More

There is not a ton at this Aquarium, but everything that is there is well done. We spent a lot of time at the touch tanks, which were filled with several different creatures. The staff was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We arrived...More

We (two adults) are debating between the Huntsman Aquarium and the Fundy Geologic Museum in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia. I'm interested in recommendations from people who have visited both of these sites.
