As we were returning to the dock, the captain shouted to somebody on shore, "We saw two whales!" Well, no, we didn't. We saw two whale SPOUTS off in the distance -- but as we (and several other whale-watching boats) converged on them, the whales departed the area, as one might expect any wild animal to do when confronted with a bunch of approaching noisy motorboats.
The trip was pleasant enough, and we enjoyed it. The captain was personable and pointed out all the relevant landmarks in the bay. I get that the ocean is not a zoo, and nobody can guarantee sightings on any whale watching trip. But don't tell people we saw whales when we didn't.

A breathtaking experience! We were surrounded by different types of whales: humpback, fin whales and many other small ones. Unfortunately, they did not come too close to our boat and didn’t fully jump off the water. It felt like a miracle; especially, when one of them was swimming in parallel to our boat. Kudos to Jeff (not Chris -:) for being informative, funny, and friendly! Jeff didn’t just give us a ride, he also gave us trivial information about whales, aquatic species of the area, and stories of different islands including Bay of Fundy. Jeff is a true tour operator! The ride was very smooth with fair warnings of upcoming bumps and waves. Very considerate of Jeff! An awesome day to have this trip! Many thanks to the Island Quest Marine for making this unique experience happen!!!!

This family-run business was fantastic! We've taken many marine tours in coastal BC and Turks and can say that this 2-hour private tour exceeded our expectations. Captain Chris and senior biologist Nicole Leavitt were most knowledgeable and so amicable. They went out of their way to ensure the best experience possible. The 29' Seafox is very comfortable. We saw proposes, minke whales, various birds, seals and fish farms. We had the privilege of seeing a rare visitor to these waters - a hump back whale. Also learned a lot about the Maritime geography. We highly recommend Island Quest Marine Tours! Photos attached were taken by Nicole Leavitt

Beautiful family company that is keen to introduce the sector and marine activity! A great experience with professional staff. Small boat of up to 12 people, much more personal than boats with a large capacity! Clean and recent boat. Great experience!! I strongly advise! Thanks to the family that manages this case with the heart 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Excellent 2 hour ride among the gorgeous islands around St. Stephen’s. Along the way we saw seals, an eagle and a porpoise. At the very end before we had to turn back we had a great sighting of a minke whale which is generally the only type of whale in early July. Even if we hadn’t seen anything lit was great to be out on the bay. It’s a smaller fast boat and easy to shift positions to be able to see the sea life. Our captain, Brad was great! Highly recommend ( no orange wet suits to put on!) no jockeying with a lot of people!

Small boat, intimate whale watching experience. Captain Chris and his granddaughter Captain Hannah were great. There were only 6 passengers which was so wonderful. This family has been doing whale watching tours for many years. They are locals.
I have limited mobility and they were wonderful assisting me.

We had a fantastic experience. The weather was looking bad , the day we were scheduled. The kind associate, called us, kept us up to date on the weather, and then the final decision . She then moved us to another date and time seamlessly. On the boat, the Captain was helpful and charming. We took lots of photos .

Taking a boat tour to see the whales in St. Andrews is a must do when in New Brunswick. Island Quest has a nice size and secure boat. You can stay inside and view through windows, outside in the back or on the open deck on top. They have a couple of marine biologists onboard to add to the viewing experience. We did not get to see much on August 25 except a couple of Minky whales. It was deceiving as a couple years back I took that same company in August and got to see many whales, seals, birds etc. Just mother nature. Still the boat tour is close to 3 hours, so it's well worth the amount paid. You can touch starfish, mussells and a crab on the boat and get some details about those little creatures. I suggest to bring a sweater as on the sea it's cooler then at the Pier. They sell nothing onboard so bring a drink or bottle of water especially if sunny. Ideally go to the restroom near the Town Hall before walking to the pier. Overall great staff and nice tour.

We went on a whale watching and nature trip and was very pleased with the trip. The boat was very comfortable with seating on the first and second deck. There were handholds everywhere if needed so we felt comfortable moving around the boat when it was moving.

The captain was very competent and pleasant and the biologist on board spent a lot of time with everyone identifying wildlife and places.

This trip is great for people of all ages.
