Terrific experience. Went on the whale adventure on September 21, 2021 on the 36 foot Zodiac. It was sunny but cool. They suggested, because it was cool, the Zodiac speed and distance we would travel, we all put on a flotation suit. Took a great memorable picture of us in the flotation suits.
The driver and his assistant were wonderful and very knowledgeable. We sighted 6 Minke Whales, some grey seals, and a large school of porpoises that were feeding. The driver went the extra mile to make sure we all saw an abundance of sea life and he explained their behavior and habits. His main objective was to show us as much sea life as possible and he even stayed out 1/2 hour longer than the original 2 1/2 hour plan to ensure we had the best experience possible.
The flotation suits made us comfortable in the cool wind when we were doing higher speeds.
Highly recommend this company. This tour is well worth the price.
Many thanks,
Karin and Betty

We had a group of 8 from our bus trip to Florida in March. So we wanted to get together for a day this summer. We decided to go with jolly breeze. It was cheaper and 1/2 hour longer than the other companies there. We booked the whole boat to ourselves( cheaper to do this if you have 9 or more). It was more private than going with another family you don't know. Also no masks if its your bubble. The 2 running the boat were so amazing. Very fun people. It was very easy to get into the suits as well. They have them in every size. The boat was so fast, got us there quick so we could see the whales and other wildlife in the sea😁. When we got back they had hot Choc and home-made macaroons. Well done. Perfect ending to a perfect day❤️

Tonight I had the experience of a life time. On board the Nautica the 12 passenger vessel belonging to jolly breeze. We set out not knowing what adventure lied ahead. Captain Randy and Joanne guided us to our destination. We were able to watch a humpback whale for over an hour ( first one of season). It unexpectedly came to service beside our boat, which none of us were expecting! “Cork” showed off for us, swam underneath our boat before showing us a beautiful breach! A night that none of us will soon forget! Jo ann and Rob run a wonderful company with a great group of staff and captains. As someone who was born and raised in St. Andrews I highly recommend the Jolly Breeze.

Thank you for joining us a special trip with the first Humpback whale of the season. It was a day I will not forget either...with Cork being as curious about us as we were about her. Thank you for taking the time for a review. It is appreciated.

In the last 4 weeks I've had 3 trips to sea with Jolly Breeze, from sunrise to sundown. Every adventure has been excellent with so much to see that's new every time - whales, porpoise, seals, fish, birds and lots more. The staff and crew are amazing, extremely knowledgeable. The ride is smooth and being so close to the water makes for great viewing. I can't wait to be able to enjoy this with friends and family when they visit.

I just wanted to take the time to write about our satisfaction when we took the zodiac ride/whale watching in July 2020.
From the moment we stepped in the office, we were not only very pleasantly welcomed by this beautiful young woman, but she noticed we were francophones and she gave us all the instructions in French. Just before we got on the vessel, she gave us thorough explanations at the sea tank. We found out her name was Mahée. I was extremely satisfied with the fact the Mahée gave all the details in English but would also kindly and respectfully look sideways at my daughter to translate in French. She is most definitely an asset to your business. My daughter thought she was very friendly and admired the fact that she was fluent in both our province's official languages. To add to this, the captain was also very nice and made sure we were comfortable. He was funny and made sure we could see some whales.
Thank you so much for the wonderful experience. We will definitely go back. Hopefully we can get on the tall ship in the near future.

Thank you for the review and for the support. Mahe is bilingual French and English, has a marine biology degree and is a great asset to our company for the past 3 years! Thank you for the compliments to the Captain as well. Regards, Joanne

On first arriving at the dock, you may be surprised by the variety of whale-watching excursions available. To be fair, they all seem to go out to the same places, as we were within a stone's throw of several competitors when we saw porpoises, seals and a minke whale. What sets this operation apart is they go out on a tall ship, but it is powered by motor, not exclusively sail. The staff were young, hospitable and extremely attentive to guests' needs. My reason for four stars is that while individual questions are enthusiastically answered and they do go around with a "touch tank" of marine specimens on the way back, there was no narration of the sights along the way or any debriefing about wildlife that was shared with the whole group at once. The captain would shout out whale alerts, but he was hard to hear above the noise of the engine and wind. This seems like a missed opportunity that could easily be solved with a PA system and even a recorded orientation talk on the way out. The scenery is certainly impressive and even historic in places. You are almost guaranteed to see porpoises, which are technically whales. Staff offer an abundant supply of raincoats if the weather turns wet. Drinks and snacks are available, but you can bring your own food. They certainly seem devoted to your having a good experience, and our trip lasted closer to four than 3.5 hours.

So glad you enjoyed the tour and wildlife. We will take your comments into consideration. We do have a loud speaker that is used on ocassion but we found most people enjoyed the personal attention of the guides going around to speak in small groups and provide more personal information and answer questions.

We booked this excursion less than 24 hours before departing. We realized right after we booked it the travel time from arriving at the airport to the traveling to the boat wasn't enough time to get there for the departure time. We were very disappointed we could not take this amazing tour!. We called the company and also emailed them. Even though we were past the 24 hours cancellation cut off they accommodated us and gave us a full refund. This is truly great customer service and would highly recommend this company Thank you Joanna and Robert great appreciate it!!

My husband was really anxious to go whale watching, but I was leery since I get motion sickness pretty easily. The Jolly Breeze advertises that only 1 in 3000 people feel ill on their tall ship (and they have a 96% success rate at seeing whales!) so we decided to give it a go. It was all true—we saw whales and I never felt ill (although, I’ll admit, it was a lovely, calm day). The onboard guides were terrific—very friendly and knowledgeable, and we saw 2 different kinds of whales, porpoises, and bald eagles, among other things. I was especially impressed at what a great experience this was for kids—they brought out various different things during the 3.5 hour trip so there was always something new to look at or do, and they couldn’t possibly get bored. I would recommend this experience very highly! 😊

The excursion we had this past Sunday on the Jolly Breeze was awesome!! The crew was very engaging and well versed. Alex and Jenny were fantastic keeping the kids entertained on our way back, and the captain wanted us to see whales as much as we wanted to see them.
Thank you very much to all!!

We took the 1pm tall ship tour. Our group included myself, my wife, our almost 5 year old daughter and my mother in law. We had an amazing time. The boat is really nice and so fun for kids. They have pirate costumes, face painting, hoist the sails, steer the ship and the sea creatures touch tank. We saw three finback whales that we followed for quite a while. We also saw seals and bald eagles. Ship was smooth and comfortable for all ages. They also had a bar with juice, pop and beer. All the guides on the ship were fantastic. Would highly recommend this tour especially if you have children!

Hi there,
We are coming in mid July with two children ages 14 and 11, would love some feedback on the best time of day to do the tour as well as which boat would be best for the ages of our kids.
Thank you!

We will be there on crusie with Royal caribbean. Early June. When are the whales likely to be seen?
Written February 26, 2020
Well Lori, likely no cruise this year(and we use RC all the time👍🏻) but honestly not sure if there’s a good or bad season to see these wonderful wonders! I’m sorry I couldn’t help answer this.

We're coming up there in September. Which would be the better option - 10 a.m. or 2 p.m.? Thank you.
Written July 18, 2019
We went at 10 and had the rest of the day to look around. Excellent trip worth the price of admission. Crew was educated and really friendly.

Hi we are interested in a tour. there will be 5 adults. the date would be june 30/19 in the afternoon (1pm). can you let me know what the cost would be. thank you
Written June 19, 2019
I have a group of 14 seniors who would be interested in a tour during one of these days: 9/3/19, 9/4 or 9/5. Will you be operating then? Are we likely to see whales?
Written June 19, 2019
They do still tour in September. The peak season for most species of whales is July and August. I wouldn't be worried as the whale stick around, even in October. You might want to book in advance for such a large group so close to the peak season. Enjoy!
Written July 6, 2019
Hi, there, I'm wondering what time is easier to watching the whale ? July or August? THanks.
Written May 23, 2019
The peak season for most species is July and August, but it is common to see whale from Mai to October. I would say the later the better since we had a cold spring this year.

Hello ~ I am there for a day on a cruise ~ how far are you from the cruise port, and what is the best way to get to your location? Thanks!
Written July 28, 2018
Actually if your like most of us nowadays you probably have a gps.. if you do just punch in Jolly Breeze... and it will come up. The wharf is right where you get on the boat.
Written July 29, 2018
Hello where can I buy my tickets and how much are they. Is this suitable for a 6 month old to take with us ?
Written June 29, 2018
Children of all ages Love the Jolly Breeze! There may or may not be room for a small stroller to be set up but you may store one folded on the aft deck. Inquire at our office where you may also reserve tickets. 506 529 8116 or toll free 866 529 8116. Cheers!
Written June 30, 2018
Hello,
Would this be suitable for a 3 year old and 1 year old?
We are looking go on a whale watching experience at the end of July.
TIA!

What is the best time to book, morning/night. Should I book in advanced? Do you cancel if raining
Written June 24, 2018
We do sail rain or shine as long as there are still enough people who want to go out. We have a rain awning if needed and rain jackets on board. There is the cabin below as well where the children can colour etc. We cancel for dangerous winds. We do recommend reserving as many trips go out full.
