Lots of different runs were so much fun! I did not love that they closed down the ski hill to people who decided against the Covid vaccination as that was extremely discriminatory, but the mountain itself is great!

KAR is a wonderful ski area with excellent terrain for all ability levels.. the glade skiing is outstanding, great fall lines and no lift lines ... night skiing is the best I have ever experienced off the NorthStar Quad lift nearly 2000 ft of vertical... staff is very friendly.. take a free tour with a mountain host to get orientated...

Visited in January 2021 for two days of snowboarding.

We happened to be there during that ill-fated week when the North Star chair was broken down, so there was a twenty minute hike to get to Tamarack. However, Guest Services was kind enough to refund my 2-day lift pass and offered me a steep discount for that. We arrived a day after a huge dump of snow, so it was all worth it!

Their lifts could use a major upgrade though...felt like I spent a good chunk of my day riding lifts. Lift maintenance seemed to be a big theme for RCR this season...

Snowboarders be warned...practice your skating and one-foot riding because there's quite a lot of it at the top of the Easter chair. They don't groom much up there either, so enjoy the bumps once everything gets tracked out!

Would have loved to try the night skiing...oh well, next time.

Kimberley Alpine Resort has a family friendly layout to their hill, where friend at all different levels of ability can choose where to ski, and all end up at the same spot at the bottom. Great for newbies in the front, but also amazing black diamonds in the back end of the hill to discover (Vortex is my favourite black diamond!).

Beautiful views, so many choices for runs and great conditions. Awesome skiing and love the old Tamarack 2 seater chair.

I lived in Colorado for a number of years and got to ski great resorts. Winter Park was my favorite because of the incredible mogul runs at Mary Jane.In fact it is the best resort of the planet for bump skiing. When I moved to Cranbrook , i was very impressed with Kimberley Alpine especially The Black forest area . They have long mogulled runs which can challenge the very best bump skiers.I never quite understood why RCR never promoted the hill as a mecca for bump skiing. It should be named Mary Jane of the North.

Thanks for your review Mike! The Black Forest has it all - long steep fall line cruisers, moguls, tree skiing, and a plethora of playful terrain.

This was our third annual trip up as a family to this awesome resort. Along with another family we rented a condo right on the T-bar side of the hill that was big enough to accommodate 4 adults and 4 kids. As usual the resort didn't disappoint. Everyone I found is exceptionally friendly. My 3 year old daughter tried skiing for the first time this year and absolutely loved it. What really helped was how friendly the attendants working the magic carpet run were to her. As soon as she would get on she had her hand out waiting for her "high five"! So thank you Kimberley Alpine Resort for making what was to be a good holiday into a great one especially for my daughter! We hope to come back in the summer if possible but will be for sure returning next winter for another ski vacation.

Visited Kimberley when they had not had much snow for a while. I was still able to find decent snow. The hill has a nice pitch overall and I'm sure it's incredible after a good dump. It was family day weekend and the lift lines weren't that bad.We stayed at Trickle Creek Lodge and had a great time overall. We plan to go back next year.

Mountain is fun could have more snow room service was excellent however I paid for an advanced snowboarding lesson and I was trying to do bigger stunts then my instructor which really sucked for the money I spent regularly $270 he was a nice guy from Norway. Really enjoyed his company for the most part but the skill was lacking. Also the mountain and hotel stunk at times. They also don’t have jumps here only a rail park. ...
