I have fished this location under many owners, From Trout lakes to the current coarse fishery.
There are 5 lakes ...
Ash & Hawthorn = The 2 match Lakes [cut through clay] incs Carp <20 lb +
Oak & Elm = Stream fed; good mixed head incs Carp < mid teens
Willow = Top Pool of stream feed; SILVER FISH ONLY... A very good head of mixed fish.a joy to fish especially if the Kingfishers are zooming around.
Keep your eyes open for other rarities, including the Banded Demioselle which has rarely been reported east of the A1
catch from 31/05/2017
Woodlands Fishery Spilsby

9 x Tench
3 x Bream + 1 Hybrid

Visit every now and then, mainly for a change and because of the views and surrounding nature! This time choose the bigger constructed match lake!
What a days fishing good size Carp all day and lake to myself (Friday). Lovely views, peaceful location. Largest Carp 12.8lb and a surprisingly large Perch, biggest yet!
The natural Lakes of which there are three and so pretty (Mr Crabtree) style. Would love for the owner to make more of it, as the platforms are very poor and the up keep could do with so much attention! This place could be a real stunning location if some hard work was put in? All said still a good place to escape. Worth a visit.

Many thanks for your comments and we hope you will return soon. The three lakes located in the natural wooded valley were formed by damming the stream. The soil structure in this valley is a wet running sandstone lying upon a clay layer and bank erosion is a constant problem. Over the last few years we have been replacing the platforms with sturdy steel structures topped with concrete slabs or timbers encased in a wooden surround. These newer platforms are relatively easy to repair and we usually address such repairs together with complete rebuilds once winter has fully passed and ground conditions become more stable. So expect some improvements in the next couple of months.

Invited to visit the site with a view to the owners starting a CS campsite - has great potential n a great location. I'm told that the fishing is very good but am not a fisherman myself. The road connections are good

Hi,
Day tickets are £6 and we are open from 6am to dusk. Keepnets are permitted on Oak, Elm and Willow Lakes for all species with the exception of carp which should be released promptly.
