I decided to go to this former castle, now more an estate than an actual castle, simply because i wanted to go out a bit. The castle is based in a vert green part of the Netherlands and also a very quiet/ peaceful part. Of the original castle only the tower remains all the other parts have been added on a later date, but still it is a nice estate with a beautiful garden.. for a small fee you can walk around in the garden which is a walk of approximately an hour and a half... in the garden there are several nice object which make the walk more than worth it. With a small additional fee you can take the guided tour which lasts for about 45 minutes and is worth it as a lot about the history of the building is explained and which bring you past some nice olf rooms. Mind you this is not possible for people with weelchairs. in the gardens there is also an orangerie and for people that still want to do more walking there is a huge forrest next to the castle.

Nice to see, location was close to home, the attraction in the park "de Bedriegertjes" (the deceivers) was used as school trips when my parents went to school (1950's). Not overly special though.

A visit to this castle. It is located in a beautiful laid out park where one can walk. Great views from the gardens and Orangerie where one can get something light to eat or drink. An impressive rose garden and well kept.
Our guided tour was very interesting as the guide knew a lot and was good at it. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. A sunny dry day is an extra plus.

Our kids love the garden and the wall with shells. The garden is spacious and great to just wander! There is enough parking around and if you like you can easily walk into the Veluwe. There is also a lunchroom in the old Oranjerie for food and drinks

On special days you can visit the castle with a guide. It's really beautiful. The park is very nice, with fountains and a restaurant.

Lovely little castle with a large garden around it. There are some nice shell covered buildings / statues in the gardens, including a small grotto beneath the waterfall, which is sadly not accesible. Tour of the castle was great.

Bus 8 from Arnhem train station stops a few hundred meters from the entrance. Arrive in good time to get a place on the next guided tour. Splendid country house and grounds with lake and folly. First class tour of the house– with English text provided. Café in the orangery overlooking the grounds and the lake.
