Our olive groves covers 36 hectares (about 90 acres) on the sun-drenched footslopes of Les Alpilles. We like to press our olives without delay, to retain all of their fruitiness and freshness.Fresh and fruity, our oil wonderfully embodies the exceptional character of the Vallée des Baux de Provence terroir.Every day you can visit our mill and taste our different blends of our award winning Olive Oils.

We stopped by Castles late in the afternoon and had a wonderful and animated tour with Remy. He took us through the facility and gave a great explanation of the olive oil making process. Remy made the visit with his passion for olive oil and great sense of humor. We finished with a sampling of the various oils which was... More

We were given a short tour of the olive oil making process by a charming host. Very interesting and informative. The olive oil tasting was delicious and who knew there could be so many different, subtle flavours!

It's a simple yet interesting tour of how olives are harvested and processed into oil in Provence. The tour gives you a brief walk through the trees, then a look at the tools used to harvest. Next you walk through the small but very professional processing facility and see the machines and processes used to produce the best oils. Next... More

My wife and I visited with Remy and other staff after we drove down the mountain from Les Baux. Remy provided an impromptu very informative tour of the impressive facilities, including how their top quality olive oil is produced, how the detritus and water are recycled and how they take care of their trees. We followed with an extensive tasting... More

Even though Castelas produces a very large portion of the olive oil that comes from Les-Baux-de-Provence, it makes great oil and an excellent range of products, well worth sampling and taking home if you have room. We have visited numerous times, and have been fortunate on several occasions to be guided through the whole process by Remy, who is one... More

Our group of 6 stopped by specifically to take a tour and do a tasting. When we walked in we were greeted by Remy a very animated and knowledgable tour guide. We first toured the entire facility and although Remy may have stumbled over a few words, his English was excellent. He made the tour fun and educational. Next we... More

Thanks a lot for such a nice comment. Specially for Remi, who do not spare any efforts to make our visitors enjoy their time with us. I wish a pleasant journey in the South of France More

Definitely worth a visit ! we loved it. Located just outside Les Baux de Provence, it's a great place for a quick stop to discover how olive oil is made . We were shown around the whole place and also tried the different types of olive oil ( we were given around 10 different kinds ). The guy who gave... More

I was very disappointed because we made a special detour in our itinerary to visit only to be met with a rather cheerless lady. To her credit, she brought us on a brief tour of the facility with someone in our party translating her presentation. However i was looking forward to learning about the different oils they sell but she... More

I apologize for the perception of your visit @ castelas. I don't know what went wrong with the person tending the shop that day, but what you are describing is not the norm of our business. I am trying to find some explanation in order to correct a problem. May be it was the noise of the mill that made... More

We visited CastelaS and received a brief tour about the olive oil making process and then were invited to taste their products. The staff was friendly and helpful and their products are good.

With one of us working in the olive oil industry, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit this well known OO producer located outside Les Baux de Provence. The staff speaks no English but they work hard at communicating with the many visitors who stop by here. Their oil is fresh, delicious and available in the U.S. and Europe.... More
