The Museum is also a gift shop and Tourist Information of Brooks. We came here for some tips about the places to visit in the area as usually they know their hometown much better than what we read in a book. We didn't visit the museum. Outside the museum there is a statue of Corythosaurus Casuarius also known as The Helmet Lizard. Helpfull staff, btw.

What a great little find.
My kids loved exploring inside the museum and LOVED running through the buildings outside. Favourite was the school house.

It is amazing what stuff comes down from the past in relatively good shape, not discarded. The interior space has the likes of a general store, old pianos, barber shop chairs, saddles, clothing, etc. Some tourist information materials are available too. Just as interesting is the outside. Some of the buildings you could visit were a blacksmith shop, an old train station, a church, a newspaper, a car garage and the residences of a CPR official and a nurse. The buildings were brought to this location. This is farming country and there is a raft of tractors and threshing equipment. Bygone days live on.

Stopped here as we were passing through Brooks. Small parking area but the museum is well set out and easy to walk around. Love the dinosaur at the front.

Very interesting, lots of artifacts and well laid out displays which seem to change regularly. Nice wee shop with something for everyone.

This campground is an absolute disgrace for $30 a night , we were kind of desperate as it was a long weekend and we where on the road and everything was full. No washrooms just a port a potty that looked and smelt as though it hadn’t been emptied all season. There was even dirty underwear next to the Port a potty. When it was mentioned in the museum (as that is who looks after it). We were told they have been trying to get it emptied for a long time it is supposed to be done weekly. I suggest somebody higher up talks to the supervisor of the people who contracted out or withhold payment until it is done. If I could give it minus • I would

Lots of displays and informed staff to make sure that the visit was excellent. Stop at the gift shop for local crafts and souvenirs.

We were pleasently surprised with this place. It was an on a whim stop.

It features a big central museum with a lot of reasonably priced knick knacks. The lady working the desk was so friendly and offered a scavenger hunt for our 8 year old.

There is also a large and impressive old time village full of history that you can walk through. My daughter enjoyed herself.

And there are plenty of beautiful flowers!
